Germany Spain matchup: Bet on the Germans
Germany Spain happens this week in one of the semi-finals.
Spain might be the 08 champions but I would call them lucky against Paraguay. Germany has a history of making it to the finals while for Spain this is their first semi-final appearance. Germany walked over England and Argentina, 2 favorites going into the tournament. Too many people remember the 08 matchup but that was 2 years ago. Yeah I would go with Germany as well

I would have to agree. The Germans is a good contender for the title.
|
i am really not into soccer but after i heard how "we" crushed a former world-class team i think "we" COULD win ...

I THINK Germany will lose, same as in 2006.
In 2006 they defeat Argentina and then lose 0-2 with a mediocre ITALY in semi-finals at HOME. The now OVER-inflated victories of Germany over England and Argentina, are not going to change my mind. Spain will definitely advance to the finals, I will bet on Spain, although I want URUGUAY or HOLLAND to win the World cup. . |
Usually I am the first one to criticise the horribly boring soccer that Germany usually plays. I have still no idea how we managed to get into the final in 2008 - definitely not deserved it. But I must admit that this time we are playing by far the most attractive soccer of all teams. Still cannot believe it, but it is true. Therefore I would like to see the Germans win the cup this time. From the outside it looks as if the German team is still young, still hungry and still enjoys to play football, in contrary to a lot of other "established" teams I have been watching lately.

and since Italy became champion we can assume that they were in a much better condition in 2006 than this time. so you are comparing apples to oranges, let's talk again after the wednesday game :glugglug |
it was a great match, germany is ruling, they're going to be champions, i'm pretty sure of that.
|
if germany play the same as they did against argentina then i think they will be unstoppable - rooting for the dutch though!

Did you watch the game? It looked like a PROFESSIONAL TEAM (Germany), Against an amateur team with great players, but no coach (Argentina)... And BTW, I'm NOT taking my conclusion with 2006 wc.. I'm just using the 2006 experience as example... Nothing else. Also MaDalton, what do you say? Are you saying that GERMANY will easily defeat SPAIN??? . |

and actually i had already accepted in both games against England and Argentina that Germany might lose. And was both times totally surprised how good they were. and of course it will be a hard game against Spain, but Spain plays until now not as convincing as in 2008 and Germany does much better than back then. Now the question is if it is because they got better or because England and Argentina sucked that bad. Let's not forget: Argentina won all 4 games before and Spain lost their first game against Switzerland. All I want to say is: you cannot compare the results from 2006 and 2008 to 2010 - the truth will be seen on Wednesday evening. And of course i hope Germany will win. :) |
I wonder how beating England 4-1 and then Argentina 4-0 constitutes over inflated victories... That's 8 goals and 1 against over 2 teams that were expected to challenge for the title this year. Spain eeking out a 1-0 win over Paraguay I wouldn't say as sharp and against Portugal well Portugal just gave them the victory.
Germany has a history of showing up to big games where it counts most. I like the Spain team but I don't see them beating Germany at all. |
i go with Spain,they play better:D
|
Germany is gonna win. IMHO
|
Ok the prices are getting really stupid. By that I mean at Sportsbook.com
Germany +175 Draw +220 Spain +145 The public is going crazy over Spain right now and books need to offer a better price for Germany to balance the betting loads. Going to dump more $ on Germany for sure. |

Would be entertaining to see Germany vs. Holland in the final.

Since I was born and raised in Germany I have always been a fan and this has definitely been the most enjoyable World Cup tournaments I have seen.
I have to agree with Stefan that this is one of the best German teams to come along in many years... and as Andreas stated "it looks as if the German team is still young, still hungry and still enjoys to play football" :thumbsup If Germany continues to play at the level they are currently playing at, then there is no one that will beat them this time around. GERMANY for the 2010 World Cup Title! _ |

Mediocre ITALY in 2006? Give your head a shake buddy Italy had the best team in 06 My prediction if Germany is held without scoring in the 1st half Spain will win the game. :thumbsup |
Holland is through.
Big game in 1 hour. Will Klose break Ronald's World Cup goals record? |

Germany +170 Draw +220 Spain +160 not sure where you are from but you can convert those to euro odds by: (+170 + 100)/100 = 2.70 meaning that you would bet $100 x 2.70 to win $270 including your stake. A net profit of $170. |
Paul the octopus picked Spain

:) So who was saying GERMANY was going to win easily? :pimp Quote:

I didn't think Germany would win easy, but still win. If I could predict the winners 100% of the time I'd be the richest guy on the planet. Spain outplayed Germany today. I will admit it is a nice set of commissions on the losses
