I had luck with a long pin with a hook or a locksmith

Yep, just take it off. It's easy.

Get a friend, take door off hinges, lay door flat on ground with knob facing down that has the broken key in it and shake the door vigorously.....

Or you could just remove the lock like others have mentioned and replace with a new one :winkwink:

Well it's a motorbike .....

put a bit of super glue on a pin head and carefully insert it to the broken face of the key.. hold it for 5 seconds... then pull hard and slow.

You may want to call a locksmith, maybe he can help you out.

Without stating the obvious, I think your best idea is to get a locksmith, there is a chance you could make your problems worst if you end up playing around with it trying to get it out yourself.

Put your mouth over the hole of the lock and suck hard and noisily - Use tounge for lubrication too. It works best if you do it in a public place so you might want to push your bike onto a busy pavement before you continue.

I would definitely have a locksmith doing it for me. Inserting super glue or similar might touch any other part of the lock and causing trouble later on. Take the bike to a locksmith or even a shop and have them replace the whole lock for you. Expensinve, yes, but better than messing thiings up even more before asking for professional help.

put a small amount of super glue along the broken end of the piece of the key you still have and put it back in and let it dry... then try pulling the broke piece out

wouldn't put glue in there if you want to be able to still use the lock afterwards.

Step 1. Freeze it in liquid nitrogen
Step 2. Tap gently with the back of a spoon until it shatters
Step 3. Retrieve broken key fragment
Step 4. Profit!

I'd try the glue method since you're just putting a bit of glue on something and trying to attach it to the key. And it's a side case, so you won't be any more fucked than you are now.

Additionally, why didn't you just post "I broke a key in the side case lock on my bike" rather than drag the thread on with posting additional information that would have helped early posters?

That's an idea, except that it costs 1k as you need to order both cases. You can't buy only one case (fuckers).

I suggested a pin head for the glue due to the size and that it's almost impossible to put too much glue on a pin head. :)
