So LeBron is going to Miami

Will they win it next year?

xxweekxx 07-08-2010 06:31 PM

nope.. cant win title with 3 great players and 12 crappy ones

Joshua G 07-08-2010 06:46 PM

I wish Lebron would not talk up his loyalty. He made this big thing about being in cleveland all these years. But the important things in his decision was playing with wade/bosh, & whats best for him. I wonder if he realizes what hypocritical nonsense comes out of his mouth.

His team may get a ring if the lakers dismantle in several years & they can persuade a quality center, point guard & bench to play for minimum wage. unlikely.

Dvae 07-08-2010 06:58 PM

Can I vote multiple times on #3 Who fucking cares?

Weren't the Lakers 20 mil over the cap this year and simply coughed up the penalty? The heat can do the same

sure you can. :2 cents:

Mutt 07-08-2010 07:03 PM

fuck them all - and I don't think there's a chance they win the championship. they'll be good and exciting - they have literally no money to sign an entire bench and starters.

possible though that some good free agents will go to Miami for smaller money just to play with the three stars.

good for the NBA - David Stern is orgasming - NBA now has another marquee team and the Heat are going to become the Yankees, the team everybody loves to hate. kids will love the Heat, kids are usually front runners.

They can spend over the cap and just pay a $ for $ penalty from what I understand.

sinclair 07-08-2010 07:10 PM

The NBA has now been reduced to a Globetrotters V. Generals game...every fucking night. Fuck you David Stern.

Sure they can spend a lot. The issue is what talent is on the market that can be signed to beat the lakers over the next few years.

Zuzana Designs 07-08-2010 07:11 PM

garce 07-08-2010 09:36 PM

The average maturity of an NBA player is about three years behind your typical grade eight student. Who gives a crap what these overly tall crybabies do? Its a shame.

These pathetic NBA bitches would have their asses handed to them in any other "major league". Actually, I'd love to see any one of these sucky babies even try to go up against Venus Williams. Except for maybe Steve Nash, they'd be peeing their pants and crying for their mommies.

Its great when you can make millions and trash talk without actually having to work.

Mutt 07-08-2010 09:36 PM

yeah they can spend over the salary cap but the luxury tax in the NBA is big - every dollar about the limit you pay 100% tax on - so a 5mil contract becomes a 10mil contract.

weak of Lebron - people forget that Jordan played on one year deals later in his career and could have gone anywhere he wanted to play where and with who he wanted to.

he's a nice guy, not a punk or thug type, - somebody compared him to Vince Carter which is a huge insult but Lebron definitely is just a higher quality version of Vince. He doesn't have the competitive drive Jordan had and Kobe has. Becoming a billionaire and global brand means more to Lebron. Which is ok, but he will won't ever be on the same plateau as the all time greats.

pradaboy 07-09-2010 12:58 AM

I dunno about this move, it's not a "king" worthy. He's joining an all-star team just to win the championship. That's not how Jordan did it or any other of the greats. He should be a leader, not a follower.

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Dude, loyalty to an athlete means NOTHING.
They only spew that shit because their agent tells them too. You know deep down Lebron's like "Fuck Cleveland. I'm going where I can win and where its warm bitches!"

As for them winning, well don't count on Bosh being in every game. He's bound to stub his toe or some shit just to get out of playing if things are a little rough.

Major (Tom) 07-09-2010 09:03 AM

Basketball and the Worldcup. I could give a rats ass about both.
ds
p.s. ohh and the wnba too.

Raf1 07-09-2010 09:10 AM

the NBA is a joke. Too bad, because I really like playing ball.

cwd 07-09-2010 09:25 AM

if Lebron wanted to change teams, leave his hometown (where they loved him) then fine. But to do it on national tv was a huge fuck you to Cleveland.

It also shows he does not want to be "the man". For all Brons talk the Heat are Wades team. Its like someone wrote, that Lebron will always be the A-Rod to Wades Jeter.

IDK Rondo is kinda hyper like Nash. They get their hustle on can't say they don't.

sinclair 07-09-2010 02:09 PM

I cant speak for the city of course but most people here I talk to feel the same way "it's not the he left it's HOW he left".

SpongeBub 07-09-2010 02:40 PM

I remember when I first heard about LeBron - he was going to be the next MJ, hell, better than MJ. What a joke that turned out to be. This guy couldn't carry Jordan's jock strap. And what a fuckin ego. I'll be surprised if they win shit.

sinclair 07-11-2010 03:07 PM

Just read about Derek Fisher meeting with Miami. If they can sign 2 quality role players then they have a dam good chance of dominating for the next 5 years

cosis 07-11-2010 08:50 PM

Someone has to play Robin and it ain't gonna be Lebron
