Carnahan Drops Prices For Obama Event
July 8, 2010 11:32 AM | Permalink | Comments (124) | Share This By Reid Wilson Pres. Obama is the best fundraiser the Dem Party has, but his drawing power is way down from its peak during the '08 campaign. Obama is heading to MO and NV today to raise money for Sec/State Robin Carnahan (D), running for an open Senate seat, and Senate Maj. Leader Harry Reid. But Carnahan's campaign wasn't able to completely sell out the Folly Theater, where Obama will appear for a grassroots event on Carnahan's behalf, at the prices they wanted. Tickets once priced at $250 are now going for $99, while $35 tickets are half off. http://hotlineoncall.nationaljournal...ahan_drops.php |
Yeah, well the American Idol tours have mostly been canceled and/or rescheduled too. People have bigger fish to fry these days. Like, survival.

Here's the part the gets to me. He flew there and was protected at our cost which runs about $22,000 an hour when he travels. All this is paid for through tax dollars so he can raise 100K for his own party.
If any acting politician travels to raise partisan funds, they should be doing it at their own cost Republican and Democrat alike. |
Damn shame I won't be able to attend. I have a job.

I think Obama is a great guy. He has brought change!!!! Clearly the most bright, distinguished, level headed, brilliant, charismatic, good-smelling, affable, swell person to ever be born... including Jesus, Michel Jackson, Mother Theresa, Albert Schwitzer, Jonas Salk, keith Olbermann and Madonna . The world is a better place now... thanks America for "getting it right".

"We are moving in the right direction and I know that Robin Carnahan gets it ? she's going to help us keep on moving in the right direction," Obama said during a fundraiser that drew about 750 people to the Folly Theater.
