Question for thos who have a laptop

One of my laptops, a toshiba, is pissing me off with something I cant figure out where the settings are to configure.

Basically, if I close the top, the computer goes into 'hibernate' mode. I dont want that shit, I want it to stay on. I looked everywhere in the fucking thing, even 'disabled' hibernate mode and the crap still does it. On my other laptop, a sony, it doesnt do that shit.

Any1 know how I can fix this?

Control Panel, Power settings?

Or check the bios.

I think with mine it gave me a prompt asking to disable hibernate mode, I selected yes and It never happened again.

here you go,

Widows start, Toshiba Consol, power managment, details(first box), system power mode(tab) from there you choose your setting. Enjoy

I have a really cool slim fast Dell with lots of memory, dvd, 40GB drive, wireless internet, etc.. I couldn't get comfortable with it or used to using it. :/ It sits on a shelf.

I have a pretty much similar setup as my only computer atm. :)

Mine doesn't do that, never has. I use a SONY Vaio PCG-F650.

Edit the registry settings or download Tweak UI and use that.
Otherwise, I dunno how to help you.
