how to fix a video timeline on a clip?

anyone know how to fix a timeline from a stream?

say if i recorded 10 seconds of a stream, it actually takes it from the start of the stream say its been recording for 2 hours, it would be 2:00 - 2:10

anyone know a way to fix the video?

If I am understanding you..Use an editor app to snip it and move it to the proper location then re-encode it.

Hard to know for sure what you're talking about but this sounds like the samples have timestamps from the original stream, and you want them to start at 0. So yes, re-encoding would be one way. But depending on the video format, passing the file through a metadata program should fix it. That would be the case for FLVs file, for instance.

which metadata program?
