MEXICO CITY ? Authorities in Mexico say a newborn baby girl declared dead by doctors revived inside her coffin during her wake. Hidalgo state Attorney General Jose Rodriguez says the parents heard a strange noise coming from the tiny casket. Opening it up, they found her crying and very much alive.

Rodriguez told state public radio Thursday that the doctor who pronounced the girl dead at a hospital in the town of Tulancingo is being investigated for possible negligence. The baby, who was born prematurely Monday, is in stable condition at a different hospital.

They didn't bother embalming the baby? Because that would have definitely killed it.

All it says about the baby is it was premature. Makes me wonder though if it popped out and they decided something was wrong with it, injected it to kill it without enough stuff and just knocked it out to wake up later.

A big worry in the 19th century. That's why they put bells on top of coffins. It was called a safety coffin.

That story makes very little sense. So the baby was born Monday and not buried until yesterday but was alive all this time and no one noticed? The freezer they keep the bodies in didn't kill it after 4 days? They didn't embalm the baby? I'm going to call BS. The news article is an entire paragraph. lol.

MEXICO CITY ? Authorities in central Mexico say a newborn baby girl who was declared dead but later revived inside her coffin has died. Hidalgo state attorney general Jose Rodriguez says the baby died of asphyxia, three days after being declared dead the first time by a doctor in the town of Tulancingo. The baby was born prematurely on Monday and declared dead by a doctor.

Rodriguez said Thursday that during the wake the baby's parents heard a strange noise coming out of her little coffin and when they opened it found the baby crying. He said the baby was in stable condition in a hospital. But on Friday Rodriguez told a press conference the baby had died Thursday night. The doctor who declared the baby dead the first time is under investigation.

Not sure, but maybe they should get a second opinion on this baby's 2nd death, you know.... just to make sure.

Maybe people should be left lying above the ground (not below ground) in case they wake up. I read many newspaper articles about how people wake up inside a coffin.

On the topic of Jesus, I believe he did not eat for 30 days and he walked for a long time.

If Mexico is anything like Costa Rica they wouldn't do anything to preserve the body. From the time of death, it's under 12 hours for the wake and the burial to be performed.
