Online gaming Q&A
If you got questions I'll do my best to answer
|
Do you think the new provincial canadian online gambling sites will cause egaming webmasters to lose all of their canadian players/new deposits? Or will it just expand the market?
|
Was the $580,000 Bodog paid for OnlineCasino.dk a sound investment? I know they recently paid $5.85 million for slots.com so a lot of $$$ being invested, what are your thoughts?

Slots.com - a bargain - can make that back within 6 months or less - probably more like 3 months. |
It should increase conversions for webmasters as more ads for tv appear, more searches for online casino will appear and more players will trust online gambling. The only risk for webmasters if a province/state or country tries to block out the private companies like what France is trying to do in forcing ISPs to ban the competition. If that happens webmasters lose big

I don't see onlinecasino.dk being worth that price so it is a bit shocking. Only PR3 and not many links. This is a good domain if you want to be #1 for 'online casino' in Denmark but not sure all the Danes are searching for this exact term.
slots.com I don't think made much money previously due to how many times it seemed to change hands and bounce from casino to portal. Is it worth $5.8 million? I think it's possible but will take a long time to recover that money and maybe longer than 10 years. Quote:

How can I hide the fact that I live in the USA and still make money with gaming?
|
may i ask how do u make money with gaming??
|
Canadian gaming licenses have been issued for years in Kahnawakee, Quebec (Indian Reserve). This is just to make Ontario a jurisdiction as well - I do not even think they will issue licenses beyond the government level of horse racing, card games etc with "Woodbine Entertainment Group" or the OLG, Ontario Lottery & Gaming Commission.
|
Depends on which manner you want to make money in gaming, as an operator, affiliate or player. As an affiliate or player it's not much of a problem.
|
If you want to make money in gaming and get your feet wet the best way is to become an affiliate. Affiliate sites don't require the most investment and usually is more time than anything else. If you want to eject then you don't have too much money invested to walk away from.
|
There will be legal gambling in ontario in 2012 according to the Ontario government. They will just most likely make it legal so only they can do it themselves for OLG. Ontario also made MMA events legal so they could generate more income.

I've been promoting online betting and gambling sites for 8 years, you seem like a novice, and nothing you've ever said on these boards proves otherwise. I used to have a williamhill casino domain ranking better for their brand name than they did, and that pissed them off no end.
Anyway, can you prove otherwise that you have one iota of knowledge or market intelligence about your particular chosen industry (this week)? |

Well I am talking affiliate income. I worry many players will jump ship to OLG shit sites. Kahnawakee hosts %70 of the industry and have just merged with Antigua. I think this industry is in for some HUGE changes as USA slowly creeps back into the mix. I have recently decided more press the more players move online. With live dealers and other innovations I see a bright future for global Gambling affs. I do not mind promoting a william hill or ladbrokers that have ponied up the $ for a license. I am ok with it as long as I still get Aff commish. |
