I know this is a long fucking shot, because I don't have a picture. But I saw this fucking tool today and was asked what it was. I have no fucking clue, no one around had any idea, and the debate has been on all day.

here is my ms paint rendition of said tool.

it has a gripping claw, with a short rounded "handle", maybe it is meant to rest on something. off the other side of the claw is a long arm. On that arm is a sliding hand grip, which seems to extend for leverage, like a built in snipe sort of? It looks as though it is used for maybe pulling something, or clasping something?

No fucking clue, do your best GFY! I know you're a bunch of tools...

never seen a nail puller like that. only ever used a cat claw or a crow bar.

the short handle, do you hammer on that or something? for pulling inset nails?

Short handle is the lever you rock on.the sliding weight when you sorta jerk it upwards clamps on the nail.almost like a bearing puller..we made them in metal work way back when
