Protesters Blast Larry Flynt's Hustler For Unsafe Sex in Porn Films

Around two dozen protesters showed up at Larry Flynt Publications headquarters Thursday slamming Larry Flynt and his company Hustler Video for allegedly enforcing an unsafe work environment by not having their performers wear condoms. (Our post this morning summarizes the pro-condom arguments made by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.)

Protesters held signs that read "Condoms in Porn Now" and "Condoms Save Lives" and showed images of Larry Flynt flashing his middle finger.
"Hey Hey Ho Ho, Unsafe Porn Has Got To Go!" they chanted.

The protesters were mostly volunteers and employees of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, a nonprofit HIV/AIDS health-care group. AHF has led the fight for condom use in porn.

Condoms prevent spread of AIDS through bodily fluids such as vaginal fluids, sperm and blood. AIDS is not spread through saliva.

Passing some more blame to porn, nice...

Its funny that all of these people have the time to tell everyone else what they should do or not do.

wait what? isn't the porn population getting less HIV than all the other at risk groups? Seems like their time could be much better spent educating high school kids about safe sex. There is more aids in high schools than there is in porn by far.

As far as slippery slopes go, this is an awesome one. A few years ago, or in some other town these days, they would be 100% against porn entirely. Now they just want to see more condom action. Thats progress, baby.

Considering there is still a window of time where someone can be infected, and considering many of the porn girls will escort and many do so without condoms, they are not safe. They are safER, but not safe.

It is part of the risk that everyone takes. Either you take that risk and make porn, or you do something else.
