Can anyone recommend screen video capture, I need to make some DEMO videos.

Camtasia is around $300.

Camstudio is free, but it's buggy as hell and doesn't capture mouse movements cleanly, and has an irritating flashing yellow box.

Is there something in between that works, I only need to do a few demos, so don't want to shell out $300 for camtasia.

Help appreciated.

Adobe Captivate
Adobe is even nice enough to give you a full 30 days free trial. You can read more and download your free trial copy from Adobe here: http://www.adobe.com/products/captivate

Camtasia is worth the $300 for what I do, but your right, not for just a few demos.

Lmfao you cunny.

You've been quiet of late, were you in the slammer?

Thanks for the suggestions. Adobe Captivate $799 :error

I found wondershare democreator (how gay naming?) for $99, but it has some annoying things coded in too. What is it with software developers and their out-dated bubble annotation insert circa 2003 bullshit?

Thanks MaDalton. That looks good, but not solid enough for what I need.

I think I'll go the camtasia route after all.

I need something that works and has support.

Don't know exactly what you need, but you can try fraps that is free and widely used in the video games industry, probably not as deep as camtasia, but maybe good enough for you http://www.fraps.com/

CunningStunt 09-01-2010 03:54 PM

Thanks Icy, I'll take a look.

I will drop you a line too, I need some ad spots.
