googles new algo
Love it or Hate it?
Me? I am loving it! Looks like they are taking age of domain into account much. Some of my acient domains are all of a sudden making good traffic even though I haven't touched them in years! |
Most likely link age no domain age itself.

THe main thing we have noticed is the huge dump of sites from the search engine all together which caused a huge drop in alot of peoples "Google Backlinks". This made for a big switch in peoples positions on the SERPS. There are still alot of small changes being made daily it seems, especially with the Mainstream auto search result feature they recently added (notice, it doesnt work for adult terms)

After looking at this for a couple of a weeks. All my oldest domains are ranking really well. I got 2 old domains and the only backlink's are from dmoz.org and all of a sudden they are getting traffic. These sex stories sites were added to dmoz in 2002 or something. I have done nothing with them since. Pretty crazy stuff.

hmm time to do some research and see what my sites are doing had no idea google had made updates..
some drastic changes indeed, i noticed my old sites are getting more love, one is getting actually 1000% more love than ever before :D Thanks google!!
getting additional traffic is always good, but better is to know why is that :winkwink:
Looks like google cleaned up its PageRank and TrustRank metrics. Pagerank although important isn't the bomb it used to be anymore. My old sites seem to have trust and google likes em :)
Looks like the love it's have it.. by a whisker!
Weird I haven't even seen a single change.
you haven't noticed that as you search the results change with every character you put in? you have to be at google.com not in a tool bar to see it happen. preferably using firefox.
Not a huge fan... I've dropped quite a bit in traffic..
I'm lovin it....although on page factors now seem to be overemphasised in terms of weight. It reminds me of google pre 2004.
