Hey ICAAN, are you paying attention to this?
Now ICM is generating false positive emails?
Here's a publicly posted comment sent in to ICAAN: ICMREGISTRY COMMITING FRAUD * To: <xxx-revised-icm-agreement@xxxxxxxxx> * Subject: ICMREGISTRY COMMITING FRAUD * From: "Douglas Ward" <zmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> * Date: Thu, 9 Sep 2010 23:16:14 -0400 Dear ICANN, These ICMREGISTRY .XXX guys sent an unsolicited email to me and when I clicked on the link inside, <http://t.ymlp167.com/emjatambuadajmqbagayu/click.php> Click here to post a comment to ICANN in support of .XXX it automatically sent a positive comment to ICANN from me WITHOUT MY APPROVAL. I thought I'd be directed to someplace I could post a comment, not have one posted automatically. I want this false comment withdrawn from record. Here is the fraudsters page I was redirected to after the UNAPPROVED submission on my behalf. http://www.icmregistry.com/forms/postcomment.php .XXX is a money making scheme for the registry that owns it and nothing more. .XXX is unnecessary and the registry is price gouging the adult industry. If this is how they are going to conduct their affairs with shady practices this .XXX should be denied now and save ICANNs reputation while you can. I HAVE ALL NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THE .XXX SCAMMERS, no positive ones. I don't think ICANN reads GFY.

Isnt that illegal in the US?

just shows how desperate the ICM Registry is.
|
Also shows that if people don't actually start sending in comments then ICM will look like they do have significant support.
|
Someone that has their info should forward this to Dave Cummings or Diane. They are probably the two people that can/will get this in front of ICANN the fastest.

I'm sending this thread to Diane right now!!!
|
TisMe, I also recommend that YOU consider posting your above Comment 1 that started this thread to ICANN right away so they can be alert that others might also be in the same boat.
Comments can be submitted to [email protected] and viewed at http://forum.icann.org/lists/xxx-revised-icm-agreement/ . |

why don't you send it to them and expose the ICM tactics?
|
I'm glad I'm not of of those that ICM counts as a supporter--if I was someone offered (or accepted) a deal of any kind whatsoever (even a 5% discount on future .xxx domain registrations?), from anyone whomsoever, I think I would worry about future lawsuits by ICM or anyone adversely affect or concerned about .xxx uncovering my name during the "Discovery" phase of the preparation for civil trial---that might possibly get very bad business karma to happen to my business, and/or my reputation, and/or my moral-ethical standing among the REAL stakeholders?
Perhaps people/entities who merely reserved a .xxx domain for defensive purposes should post that fact to the ICANN forum for ICANN to take into account, and for all of us to see and applaud!? What do YOU think the reaction will/should be to icm supporters, including those who might be "discovered" down the road? |
that's fucked up...
|
ICANN hasn't been listening for years. As a host of more than 400 companies representing >50,000 adult websites, I can unequivocally state that none of my customer base wants .XXX. I've sent that in when comments were due in the past and logic would dictate that they would refer to all current and older feedback received if they actually care. Even the religious right doesn't want .XXX.

Bump to generate comments to ICANN

Please don't assume ICANN will take into account your past feedback; rather, please, please, please repost it again, and asap. Thanks! Dave |
IMO, this situation needs some attention. Agree?

Where the Wild Things Bump....
|
Bump, more people should see this.
|
We received the same email that contained an autopost link... came from Stuart Lawley - President ICM Registry ([email protected])
|
I am the guy that got this email and I went and complained to ICANN about it.
Did anybody else get one of these emails. The link in the email did say "post a positive comment" or something, but I didn't think it would auto submit without my reading it. I thought I could also post a negative comment if I wanted too. I shoulda known better. ZMASTER. |

I also forwarded the email to ICANN, I've heard nothing form them. ZMASTER |
