I see this type of chair a lot (thin black ones with all the little holes throughout it), are they all from this Herman Miller company or just copies? How much does that chair cost?

I've checked before and there's no webshop here in Hungary where you can order [no prices listed on the sites you posted neither]. You can ask for a price via their forms what I did a few minutes ago. :pimp

I used to sell office furniture back in the early 80. Herman Miller chairs were kick ass back then. The only thing that was better IMO was a chair made by Labofa, it moved very slowly as you sat in it and was very good for people with a back problem.

The biggest problem with people suffering from back strain due to office seating is down to the way they sit. Rather than perched back onto the back rest, so it takes the weight and provides support, they lean forward. What ever chair they use.

I attended a series of seminars given by orthopedics about back problems in work, so I was qualified to give advice on seating ans sell chairs via a Government funding. Good earner. LOL

Did you guys with the Aerons get them "fully loaded" with things such as lumbar? Looks like you can get a basic version and then a fully loaded version with add-ons?

Check Ebay, it's very hard to get a price locally, as they ask you a million questions.
http://cgi.ebay.ie/Herman-Miller-Aer...item4152f5a98e

About EUR630 for a second hand Aeron delivered

or
http://cgi.ebay.de/CELLE-CJ133-fully...item19bfbea200
EUR860 for a new CELLE delivered.

I was looking a Humanscale one, but those prices don't seem too bad for Herman Miller

grumpy 10-03-2010 09:35 AM

and they are not approved as a proper working chair.

robfantasy 10-03-2010 11:00 AM

yes.. get the embody.. worth every penny

I got rid of my chair as of today and am going to try using an Exercise Ball. I heard that is the best thing to sit on for ur back and its only $10.00. so far it feels good, but its only been a few hours.
