The good: I'm having mother over for a turkey dinner.
The bad: our new couches haven't arrived yet so all we have is a loveseat in the living room.

Sarah_Jayne 10-08-2010 12:20 PM

Are the traditions on Canadian Thanksgiving much different than the ones in the United States?

We have always celebrated it on the Sunday. That way everyone gets to stay up late on Sunday, eat as much as they want and then have a day of rest the next day before heading back to work.

Chosen 10-08-2010 03:08 PM

Happy Thanksgiving :thumbsup

facialfreak 10-09-2010 02:11 AM

Yep ... we got a modest 15 pound bird I'll be thawing out today, and cooking up tomorrow, as I my GF hasn't done a turkey before ... maybe I will have her 'as a student'

(gotta go find her tartan skirt, white button-down shirt, and stockings now ...)

:thumbsup

Sarah_Jayne 10-09-2010 03:38 AM

I think I need to invent some Canadian family and do Thanksgiving north of the border one year. I bet the beer is better for starters.
