WTF is up with Sales today

Anybody else? Yesterday was slow but picked up at night. Today is terrible. Anybody else?

AdultKing 10-14-2010 07:03 AM

Today has been great for us and it's only one hour in (1.03am Melbourne time)

amateurbfs 10-14-2010 07:04 AM

I quit caring on a day to day basis. There are never shit for any real patterns, everything seems so random. I go by the month and October will be better than the amazing horse shit that was September.

Shap 10-14-2010 07:04 AM

Just checked ccbill stats. From 2am to 5am they claim we had 0 form submissions. They were our primary and our backup picked up all the sales. WTF anybody else see that?

anexsia 10-14-2010 07:05 AM

I dunno but I still need my Twisty's affiliate account activated :( username: NLeibert

18teens 10-14-2010 07:18 AM

Yesterday was fucking horrible and today looks like more of the same.

urbanpimp 10-14-2010 07:21 AM

Maybe you should start a dating site.

"Yesterday was a record sales day for us."

PR_Dave 10-14-2010 07:25 AM

Since I am in the know...

A major bank every processor uses changed their platform on Saturday and then the tech left for vacation on Sunday for a week.

YDG 10-14-2010 07:25 AM

Same here. Sales dwindled last night, our backup processor picked them up instead. Today 0 so far, which is highly unusual.

Might be a CCBill issue?

Sharky 10-14-2010 07:38 AM

yesterdays sales were spot on average for me. Today is starting off a little slow. Whats got me is the high amount of rebills not going through today...

Err wow. Any more details?

My sales have been up and down all month, so far I've had a 10% drop in revenue over September.

bns666 10-14-2010 08:03 AM

random on day-to-day basis, up and down on monthly basis, however it's a whole shitty year all together.

I've been in business long enough to know when something is up.

Agreed. And since Friday something has been up. I can't figure it out, if I QC one more site I may go nuts.

Epoch has been off the most, about 75 joins.

Umm... when I click Join Now on the right hand side of Twistys, I get a blank white page.

http://secure.twistys.com/signup/sig...p=2&tpl=join31

This only happens intermittently though.

Niktamer 10-14-2010 08:36 AM

look fine here - dhd as main processor

You're own merchant isn't always the best solution. Processing fees can be just as high as with a IPSP. The main thing that a merchant is good for is to control the scrub rate thus allowing for more joins to come through.

We see little fraud and such on mobile so the scrub is less on that than our PC. Hence why our mobile runs on merchant and PC runs on IPSP. But the fees are about the same if not higher.

Phoenix66 10-14-2010 08:58 AM

Another of those threads... For me yesterday was booming. Today, though, I have only one sale so far.

LeRoy 10-14-2010 09:01 AM

Steady sales here. Yesterday signups were higher than normal. Rebills too.

CCbill :)

TheGrapevine 10-14-2010 09:02 AM

Midnight to noon yesterday was awful, so far today is the same.

thickcash_amo 10-14-2010 09:12 AM

We had a lot of denied transactiosn with ccbill yesterday, and sales were lower than average, could be some scrubbing but they seem to be picking up today so far...

Imortyl Pussycat 10-14-2010 09:14 AM

Jimmy Sinclair 10-14-2010 09:20 AM

Do you have merchant and IPSP accounts for paysites?

I did forget a biggie that merchant is good for - internal xsales, setting up of accounts and sites, etc. Those things do make the merchant account much easier to use.

The Porn Nerd 10-14-2010 10:49 AM

O Grand Poobah SHAP I was going to start one of "these threads" a couple days ago as I've noticed sales sucking BALLZ this week, October overall not so great. But then I would be "the complainer". So when I see The Great Shap complaining, well, then I feel better - and not, at the same time. LOL Basically, sales are down 35% this week. Grrrr!

And that's the thing Kristin: I switched the cascade to Epoch several times and the sales were as bad, if not worse. Double Grrrr! Hate it when that happens 'cause then there'
s no "relief". LOL

PS: ur pretty. :)

Are you guys Cascading or relying on one merchant?

borked 10-14-2010 11:08 AM

Didn't you have this problem a few weeks back? Sales dropping off the chart?

Time to check the server logs perhaps...

--edit, nm I see CCBill_Paul is doing so

Please report back Paul...

gloryholeprincess 10-14-2010 11:17 AM

Been slow all week. Thank God for all of the recurring memberships. I thought it was something with my site or processor.
It will pick up. Usually I say "It could be worse, it could be raining" but in this case some cold, wet weather might help. :D

Rankings 10-14-2010 11:24 AM

down a bit, but not drastic

SykkBoy 10-14-2010 11:27 AM

October as a whole has been lower than last month, started picking up through yesterday, then overnight/early this morning, it dropped off a cliff....
I'm actively sending to about 10-12 sponsors and seeing it pretty much across the board
