Fucking SLAYYYERRRR!
I'm stoked.
Tonight 3 of the big 4 are taking the stage at the Palms: Anthrax, Megadeth and of course the greatest band in the world: SLAYER! It's going to be an amazingly kickass show. I saw in other cities that Testament was performing and sadly, they won't be playing Vegas....that would have kicked it up even another notch.... Anyone else from Vegas going? |
|
The music band called Slayer has interesting melodies to listen to with guitars and drums. I don't slay people.
|
Great show. I missed most of Slayer as I was pretty wasted :(
|
Lucky you. Sounds like it's gonna be an epic show.
|
I saw slayer in Toronto. Fucking killer band.
|

i missed out on them this year. it was testament, megadeth and slayer. the show got cancelled twice and they ended up coming when we were on vacation. What a great line up.

I've seen this tour twice. You are going to love it!
Next summer they are doing the REAL big 4 with Metalica! SLAYER!! |
What a show!
My ears are still ringing and my neck is stiff....all the telltale signs of having my ass kicked! The guys in Anthrax haven't aged in 20 years...they're like wild kids, having fun, being goofy, etc. It was great to hear some older songs like Metal Thrashing Mad and NFL again. It was also great to see Joey Belladonna back on that stage singing again. They also sneaked one of their new songs and it's a nice return to their thrash roots. Megadeth are the good musicians, playing more technically proficient music and being very technical, but not overly crazy with stage antics. Loved the line from Dave "I'm not going to sit here and talk between songs all night. We only have like an hour and I don't want to take away from your time." then they just kept playing song after song. Loved it. Then SLAYER just came out and raped the stage. The last time I saw them, 1-2 years ago, they were looking tired and Tom's voice sounded like he didn't have many years left in it...well last night, they were so back on that I look forward to another 25 years with them. Our ears were raped and the stage violated. They even managed to cram "Angel of Death" into 3 minutes. We had box seats and were a row up from a couple guys who had just come to the show with their sons....they left as huge SLAYER fans. One even said "I think my heart just blew up in my chest, my insides ache and my ears are numb...this is fucking awesome" Worth every last cent of the 80 bucks I paid for the tickets. I took my fiance's 17 year old autistic brother. It was his first concert ever and he had the time of his life. I can't think of a better first time show. Of course, now he'll be spoiled. It's basically the same as when I took my oldest son to see SLAYER for his 12 birthday several years ago. |
Sounds like it was awesome!

I saw Slayer and Megadeth a couple of months ago. Megadeth played just about every song off of Rust In Peace. It was absolutely fantastic. As for Slayer, they don't play much from "Show No Mercy" or "Reign In Blood" (which are my fav albums), but they were still pretty good. Tom Araya had back surgery a while back, so he no longer head bangs whatsoever.
|
I'm definately not a fan of that type of music...too chaotic

SLAYER played the whole Seasons In The Abyss album plus Show No Mercy, Angel of Death and a couple others. |
Saw Slayer this year and with Megadeth, Metallica, Rammstein, Alice in Chains. Slayer was awesome

Jim Florentine hosted the evening and was taking a poll...i didn't hear exactly what he was talking about....he seemed to be enjoying a LOT of Jager (sponsors of the show)...but he mentioned Testament, Exodus and Overkill as the choices...not sure if that was others one the tour, a further tour or what...
|
I saw slayer in Sao Paulo, 1 hour only, but pure thrash, best show ever
