Hilarious hypocrisy: Janet Napolitano unveils body scanner but doesn't volounteer to use it...
http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/...litano_do.html
that's why I love politicians - someone should have pushed her and then put the picture on the internet :glugglug |
the details those scanners show: http://www.prlog.org/10891401-airlin...a-tyranny.html

Aren't politicians normally elected?

Hitler was elected too, still i'm sure many disapprove of what he did later on |
I think he is getting at that Janet Napolitano was appointed

School superintendents are often elected... not often one considers them a politician. The whole voting thing is not a key element. |

One could even argue that she is an elected official even though she was appointed. She was elected by default from no argument against her. Plenty of potential Cabinet members were voted out. |

The poll questions are bullshit. It does not matter if it improves security, it is clearly against the 4th amendment. |

That scan pic is crazy you can actually see the dude's penis. I can't fucking believe they are going to be allowed to use these machines. How long until you have to step in to the machine and spread your cheeks? |
Quote:
Bush=McCain=Obama. it really is not rocket science. So I should see the left marching on Washington and demanding impeachment? |

So they spend all this money but users can opt-out if they don't want to walk thru. I'm pretty sure that you can patted-down anyway regardless of whether or not you use the machine anyway so whats the point?
Also I wonder if they're required to state how much radiation you get from these things? According to the manufacturer, this particular device exposes you to the same amount of X-rays as flying in an airplane does is therefore safer then actually flying in an airplane as far as radiation exposure goes. I'm skeptical though because while you are technically exposed to more X-ray radiation (from the sun) when flying, the amount varies depending on the position of the sun, cloud cover, solar flares, etc. There's also the earth's own atmosphere and Magnetosphere that protects us. I'm pretty sure that these machines are safe for occasional travellers, but what about frequent flyers who have to be exposed to this thing more often? To me, these machines are yet another useless knee-jerk reaction driven only by fear. I don't think they will do anything to stop air terrorism, and instead only drive up the price of flying and increase the tension of flyers everywhere. |

The ballot text reads "Do you agree with the reunification of Austria with the German Empire that was enacted on 13 March 1938, and do you vote for the party of our leader Adolf Hitler?," the large circle is labelled "Yes" |
A member of the Democratic Party, she was the 21st Governor of Arizona from 2003 to 2009. She was Arizona's third female governor, and the first woman to win re-election. :thumbsup

It's like they don't want to use their own supply. Perhaps the xrays are harmful to the body, or something.

A good test of whether a politician is a tyrant: their rules and laws only apply to the people --not to them.
