CCBill Cross Sales - Who's Buying ???

OK we're playing around with the idea of putting CCBill cross sales onto our join forms... obviously with CCBill, it will be a third party cross sale which means no shadyness... no pre checked or greyed out :winkwink:

So is anyone buying ccbill cross sales ? Preferably someone with a big boob network or big boob site ???

blackmonsters 11-04-2010 07:46 PM

I check join forms for cross sells and when I see them I don't use the sponsor.

So good luck with that.

Really...

Even 3rd party ones run by CCBill ? I dont get the logic there to be honest... The only way cross sales are dodgy is when they are pre checked, greyed out or hidden down the page...

What is wrong with putting a genuine cross sale on the join page, one that gives the surfer the option of joining another site at a special price if they so desire ?

I am guessing your answer is going to be that you *the affiliate* dont get any credit for this... I do think it's a shame that CCBill dont have a way to split the credit with the affiliate... but you should also think a little out side the box on this...

The relationship between the affiliate and the paysite owner is a symbionic one, one where both parties should mutially benefit from the relationship... no ?

Currently we pay out affiliates anywhere between 50 to 70%... we also offer a webmaster referral % as well... we also take 100% (not split) the CCBill costs... so the affiliate gets a true 50% of the sale and we dont... Infact when you cut the pie up we're left with a pretty small slice...

So we do have to explore other ways of increasing our revenues... and this includes things like upselling in the members area, promoting dating, webcam, VOD ect... (may I add none of which make us huge numbers) so to try and earn a little extra with legit cross sales seems logical...

It does make me roar that affiliates will gladly promote the dodgy cross sales cause they get $100 PPS... yet can moan about a genuine company using legit cross sales :disgust

If we do decide to go down this road and it increases our revenues it will do the following... 1/ Will make us more secure as a company and not result in no threads about us stiffing people 2/ Will enable us to increase our minimum revshare payout 60% 3/ Will enable us to offer our affiliates a PPS option too. Now all of those things sound as positives to me...

I just dont get tarnishing people with the same brush... but obviously it is everyone's decision who they do and dont promote... thanks for your input anyways :thumbsup

Simple reasoning :

- I put up a banner to sell product number "3".
- Don't sell anything else to my surfer except product number "3".
- Don't like it, then fuck you. You don't pay me for putting up a banner.
You pay me for sells and I need to know what I'm selling, not constantly
going to the join page to see what kind of bullshit you are up to.

Thanks

Now go fuck yourself.

PS: What you sell inside the members area is your business; but what you
sell off my link is my business.

Here's a tip for you : Get out before you fucking fail.

You are already telling someone who has done this for years how you think
things should work.

We've already been there. Try the search function for "cross sales".

It's all good, we are all entitled to our opinion... I am in no way telling you how it is, or even how it should be... simply how I see things...

I can tell you are a well experienced webmaster... 2000 posts in 8 years and a negative rep speaks volumes... now by all mean keep the dialouge going, but as I dont see us seeing eye to eye on this I will focus on other things if you dont mind :thumbsup

Back on topic... anyone else using CCBill cross sales ? I aint saying we're 100% going to use them... just exploring options at the moment... even if we only use them for our own traffic :winkwink:

Sly 11-05-2010 05:49 AM

Bittie, I will buy them all. Feel free to ICQ me at 147479144 and I can give you some more information on how it works since it looks like you are new to setting them up.

I'm not sure where you heard this.

Realgfs 11-05-2010 07:33 AM

We got a good site you can send crosssales to. 40% of our own users take the crosssales for the free trial.

Send me a mail, if you want to know more buddy

BittieBucks 11-05-2010 08:26 AM

Hey...

Didn't realise this was bumped... went to bed and forgot about all the madness lol

There is no point us cross selling our own sites, as we offer a join one join all option... so the surfer gets those sites too... I guess we could always create a new site in the same program but not tied to the rest and offer this as a cross sale... would the affiliate then get credit for that as a cross sale ? I dont believe so...

As I pointed out we need to increase revenues to secure the future of the company, to make sure we are around for a long time and our affiliates can enjoy getting paid out more money :winkwink:

I will mail the guys who have mentioned they are interested in cross sales and see what you guys can offer, as I said this will benefit us but in turn benefit our affiliates too... forgive me for trying to be upfront and honest with people... no shadyness here :thumbsup
