red dead redemption is pretty good

Looking at the trailer, I don't really like to use a controller to move the target cursor :) it's pretty hard :D

On PS3, I'd recommend Battlefield bad company 2, Red Dead Redemption, Medal of Honor (if you like intense play only)

Pick up red dead for sure, it's a must own.

Red dead has aim assists, it'll snap to your closest enemy.

if you don't like aiming though, ignore my previous suggestions lol.

RDR wasn't all the great, it's an interesting test for things to come but eh....

Sadly, that doesn't really stop it being a skinned GTA4, which was, in its own right, a steaming turd in terms of gameplay.

If I'd wanted a SHIT film and a SHIT driving game stuffed into quite an average 3rd person shooter, I would have asked for that. I didn't.

Is the new COD any good? I traditionally only like the COD's done by the good studio, and this is one by the shit one, isn't it?

I've been playing the undead nightmare shit , and I dunno, it's too upclose and personal for the 3rd person controls, but the original story blew me away.

hhmm, I dunno - I couldn't stand GTA4 at all, every time I put it in I take it out a few minutes later remembering why I took it out the last time, it's garbage.

Red dead I found was on a different level.

I'm more in RPG games, maybe some adventure games, something interesting with the plot.

Fallout 3? Mafia 2 is a good one, although it's buggy for some people... apparently more so on the PS3 unfortunately ( I play 360 )

COD4MW2 was amazing!

I have only tried RDR for an hour or so. Seemed to me, they had replaced the fucking shit, pointless, dull driving with horse riding. And that was about it.

Maybe I will give it another go.

80 bucks for an hour's fun was a little expensive.

Yes, that was the most fun I have had for a while. It was the first time I really felt like I was in a film. Or playing a film. So brilliantly immersive.

yeah, honestly it's one of those games where you're like " WTF is the point" at first, then the story kicks in real good and you realize the game's awesome.

Grand theft is overrated, the controls suck ass and the story isn't that hot either.

My recommendation is to play Red Dead linearly, meaning go right from mission to mission and you'll see how fucking awesome it is.

2 points in that game sent shivers down my spine LOL!

When I was finished it, that's when I bought GTA4 cause I wanted a little more of the same, and found out .... they're not as alike as everyone thinks.


I checked my stats, 159 hour of gameplay on RDR for me so far, 50 cents an hour is an okay rate for me :)

RDR is an awesome game but right now I'm playing Dead Rising 2 which is pretty cool and I can't wait till Assassins Creed Brotherhood comes out.

I guess I should get RDR to try it :) it looks quite cool tho.

You'll enjoy it I'm sure... I spent 4 days murdering people and robbing the banks before I even started playing the story, good times.

God of War III

Did anyone try MAFIA 2? The demo was pretty good

Arkham Asylum has been pretty good to me on PS3. you can play as the Joker in some challenges too.

I loved it.
It's a touch buggy though.

Call of Duty Black Ops is out on Tuesday, you won't need another game till the new COD comes out next year.

I also play FIFA, Formula 1, but only coz I lost track of Modern Warfare 2 with moving country etc... once Black Ops hits, its game over for my 3 brand new games. Medal of Honor saw 30 mins game time and I put it off, can't touch Call of Duty.

Red Dead's an amazing game. It takes awhile to suck you in, but it IS a Western. Its intended to have a slower pace.

Don't get me wrong, there's lots of tense, frantic moments; and a few scenes I'll never forget. Lots of optional shit to do.

I also got my multiplayer guy to lvl 50, so I probably put in well over 200 hours before I quit playing. Maybe more. Not bad for $60.

MOH's multiplayer was fuckin' horrible until the other day they patched it nerfing alot of the guns, it's more intense and needs to be played strategically but it's really addictive I'm finding..

Just about ranked my character up to the max though, so that'll be it for me once I do I imagine.

I've been hooked on battlefield bad company 2 lately, can't wait for Vietnam expansion to come out.

I've played quite a few this year. I can tell you that Red Dead is at the bottom of my list. Overhyped.

Uncharted 2 is AMAZING! Great graphics and story. Multiplayer is a lot of fun too.

Heavy Rain is...interesting. It's not for everybody but it is unique. I would pick that up if the price was right.

I dont know if they have it for PS3 or not but I would definitely pick up Hydro Thunder & PinballFX 2. You can download those two online for cheap. Worth every penny.

Uncharted 2 Looks damn good. Reminds me Metal Gear Solid

battlefield bad company 2 rocks... I buy other games, play them and keep coming back to bb2 multiplayer... Only a level 35 now... christ I don't see how all those idiot got to level 50... (cheating).

Fallout 2 rocked. Going to get Fallout 3... I just like those types of games. If they took it multiplayer it would be the best game on the PS3 (Make it like WOW).

Now that Netflix is on PS3 without loading that damn disk, it's even become a nicer machine.
