Manny Pacquiao Vs. Antonio Margarito

I got my money on Pacquiao:thumbsup

Who do you guys think is going to win? KO? what round?

Pipecrew 11-09-2010 08:46 AM

Pacquiao has been distracted and his training camp has not been that good. I still think he's a much better fighter than AM, but we will see.

InfinityOscar 11-09-2010 09:06 AM

being a politician is definitely a big part of the distraction in Pacman's camp

The best money is on it to go over 9.5 rounds +140. Margarito can take a beating like most good Mexican fighters so I think he survives for a decision loss or at worst a late stoppage.

Pacquiao has some kind of distraction or training camp drama before every fight, it never has any bearing on fight day. Margarito's last bouts have been less than spectacular and he might as well be fighting in mud at 154, his brick head should absorb a lot of Pacquiao's punishment but he'll succumb to Pacquiao's power and speed in the end, either by stoppage or KO. Waste of a PPV in my opinion. I'd pay to see Margarito fight Cotto without loaded gloves any day, and thats about it, he doesn't deserve the payday he'll see with Pacman. And even if Mayweather never grows a pair there are plenty way more deserving opponents out their for Pacman. Shame

I go for Pacquiao.

RaiderCash_Dominik 11-09-2010 12:23 PM

There's no question who's going to win this one, but when?
I'd say 7th round.

webairalex 11-09-2010 12:33 PM

I have been watching HBO 24/7 and manny looks like he is droping the ball, even Freddy is pissed of at all the distractions at camp. Meanwhile Margarito is training like never before and he is hungry after his last debacle! Its going to be a very interesting fight, not a walk on the park for Manny not at all.

That's how HBO gets people interested in the fight (which they profit from). If they showed it as a lopsided fight nobody would buy it. Don't believe the hype. Manny wins in the 5th or 6th round... :2 cents:

My money is on Manny, but there is something in the back of my head thinking Margarito is going to pull off the upset. Maybe it has to do with the fact that the 24/7 episodes remind me of Rocky III - Rocky got rich and soft, Mr T called him out.

RyuLion 11-09-2010 02:33 PM

Damn, this is a hard decision for me.. :(

Brandon99 11-09-2010 02:36 PM

I think Pacquiao's speed will still be a big factor. Pacquiao for the win.

Very astute observation.

If Pacquiao couldn't stop Marquez, no way he stops Margarito--a much bigger fighter.
