"Canada don't got the Good Cable" Chris Bosh

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Chris Bosh, the former Raptors all-star, has enumerated another reason why he?s happy to be playing in his native United States. Bosh told reporters in Miami on Thursday that his seven years in Toronto deprived him of what he called ?the good cable.?

He was speaking of cable TV. He said he was glad to be living in Miami because he can now subscribe to League Pass, the pay package that carries every NBA game.

NBA types in Toronto couldn?t help but break out laughing, as they?ve been doing frequently when they?ve watched Bosh?s abysmal (albeit early) failure to fit into the Heat?s game plan. Bosh?s comments suggested that he spent more than half a decade in Toronto apparently unaware that League Pass is widely available in Canada. While Bosh clarified that his Etobicoke waterfront condo was exclusively loyal to a TV carrier that didn?t give residents that option, he was also apparently dumb to the fact that anyone with a brain and a bit of money ? and Bosh made $15.6 million (U.S.) in his final season in Toronto ? can arrange to have a grey-market U.S. satellite package installed in their home with one phone call.

?We should have informed him that he could have got (League Pass),? Jay Triano, the Raptors coach, said with a laugh. ?I don?t remember one day when he came into practice and said he was mad because he didn?t have good cable.?

lol, it amazes me what some of these dumb fuck basketball athletes have to say about why they don't like playing in Canada.

Metric system, cable tv, crossing the border with drugs... etc

Chris Bosh made $15.6 million. That is a lot of money. I'm sure that USA channels and channels from other countries can be received in Canada. It would cost more money to receive foreign channels in Canada. That's funny. Also, think about a Homer Simpson phrase, "I want to travel because I would get to see TV in another country."

I am with bosh, I hate Canadian cable/satellite and the forcing of Canadian content. In Florida, you have like 1000 channels of tv gold.

_Richard_ 11-12-2010 01:08 PM

BlackCrayon 11-12-2010 01:11 PM

Until Canada is a tax haven to professional athletes, they won't be able to attract and keep superstars.

bosh watches to much cable, you can tell from the way he plays lately. he's been spoiled

It comes down to the fact that the majority of the players in the NBA are classless thugs who simply can't come up with anything more articulate.

Considering the NBA had to initiate a dress code to multi-millionaires because they were coming to work in gang affiliated clothing says a great deal about the quality of people your dealing with.

The NFL players are a close second to the debaucheries of the NBA players - the difference being are the contracts, the NFL will kick your ass to the curb after one game if they feel like it.

"You know, the metric system, when they go to school every day and they're singing the national anthem. Some of those things are going to pass as they're kids. As they grow older, there are some different things they need to learn. "

Chris Bosh will be traded by the Heat within a year - hopefully to some bottom feeder team like Memphis and he will regret leaving Toronto.

The NBA players are the worst and yes it's the black players, I forget which one but he claimed that the food at Canadian McDonalds and KFC 'tasted funny'.

BVF 11-12-2010 06:47 PM

Go to a mcdonalds in Hawaii. Try a ponderosa in puerto Rico. Yes, restaurants do things differently in different parts of the country. In puerto Rico they don't even have mcmuffins. They have a tasteless roll instead and call it a mccrillo.
