Making image files smaller?
Hi,
I'd like to know if there is a way to reduce the KB size of my images without significantly compromising quality? Thanks |

Most jpgs show well at 80-90% quality, there is a slight drop in quality (if you zoomed right in) but the size is reduced massively.
I would say you would be best experimenting with file types and quality levels and see what works best for you Rob |

Read this for how to do it in php: ebrueggeman .com/blog/php_image_optimization
If you're using photoshop, there's a save as web element feature and it has multiple web optimization tools.
