Which do I do? Producer or Own website
Hi,
As a part-time photographer, I've been shooting models for about 8 years, and I have alot of content from nonude implied to erotic which are all solo girl content. I've been mulling over where I fit and what to do in the industry for all that time. Do I create my own site with my exclusive content. Do I create a content provider site for other webmasters to use on their site. If I create my own site, I would prefer it be a pay per content site where users pay per picture or video. If I create a content provider site, the content would be licensed for use on a monthly basis. Or, maybe there's something else I haven't thought of yet. All suggestions are appreciated. |

IMO: Content supply is a competitive area.. having product which you sell to end users has to be a better option financially, and probably offers better control of your business going forward. Also consider scaling up using niche sites / models.
If you create your own site.. keep it simple/minimal to unregistered users. Interestingly, I experimented a few months back with an adult site which had no images and a simple login box, compared to a site with lots of pics and the same login box (same domain).. I had far more signups with the basic site.. people are curious !! Food for thought..

Thank you so much for taking the time to write. I appreciate your wisdom about having my own site may definitely be more lucrative. What do you think of the images/clips(four)sale sites?

Well if you are looking into clips4sales, you will in fact be a producer. You will be displaying product aka producing. But who's to say you can't use that content for a member website later down the road? I mean, porn doesn't really have a shelf life....once you have it, its yours to use forever.
Using another party to sell your will help with traffic and hosting, but they chop 40 percent of your sales. Learn how to produce because that will probably help you with owning a website. Use clips4sale as a foot-in, go with it....ride the wave.

I'd sell it, people want video... Most of the affiliates I work with give me access to all their pictures to use as long as I follow their rules. To sell pics you really need to have top notch content. Sites like mine, pin sites, and tumblr offer people high quality pictures for free
