Proving 2257 and privacy to models? - GoFuckYourself.com

I'm recruiting new models to my site to come generate content. The problem is I need the 2257 documentation, and many of them wish to remain anonymous.

I tell them that I am legally obligated to keep their identity private, and link them to the sites' privacy policy - but I often get the response that they wish to wait until the site is more established.

They don't believe me because they are able to self post to sites like reddit, without showing their proof of age. Do you guys have any tips on how I can prove to them their identity is safe, and that I am required to have it?

I'm currently asking for govt ID's like drivers licenses with only name, date of birth, and photo shown - are there any alternatives?

Not really.

Tell them that you'll be the only one to see it or that it may be transferred to any potential buyer thereafter. Also, tell them that you would be liable for damage if their personal information would be given to anyone that shouldn't see it.

You could find sites giving more detail on 2257, model releases and their specific information.

One thing is sure, if any model (woman or man) doesn't want to provide this info, they're a no-go for a shoot. Don't expect to get it down the line. It's now or they're out.

Thanks so much for your response. If the models were in person I don't believe it would be much a problem.

I am finding models from the web in forums where they are posting items for sale in individual threads and not seeing much return on their time spent.

The issue is simply that they can post to those threads and remain anonymous, and I was hoping to find a precise way to clarify why it is they are able to do it anonymously on those sites, but not on my site (even though they are still anonymous to the public of course)

If anyone has a good web source that clearly explains it, I would really appreciate it!

2257 requirements are different from country to country. Usually it is better to respect USA regulations, but they may not be good for yours.

Read online or if you're unsure, consult an attorney. You could get in jail if you don't respect it fully, so it's not something to play with.
