Dating site...so now what?
Ok here's what I've done so far. I got a domain name that I thought was catchy "thatgayhooksite.com". I went with a white label Datingfactory for hosting and support and all the other things it offers. I did some market tests. Only 2 but off those 2 I got about 120 hits so far and nearly 20 signups. All the signups only signed up for the free membership but this tells me there is viability in the brand and if I can drive traffic I will get signups. I spoke to my account rep at DF about buying traffic and he didn't want to touch that with someone else's 10 foot poll and I can see why after the story he told me. So that's the long and short of it. I believe in the brand and know it will work but what should I do next?

Forgot to mention my hits and signups were all within 72 hours of my tests.

Hi, have you setup social media accounts? blogs/tumblrs ?
Also, a very powerful tool to increase conversions is the newsletters you can send to your members :-) Hope it helps |

No I haven't done any social media yet. That was something I'm think about though. As far as tumblr goes I've never used it but I hear its a strange beast. Got any tips on it?
And its up to 220 its now with more signups. I plugged it on craigslist once in m4m...I know that's against their TOS and I cant keep that up. Nor do I plan to. Was just a test. |
