I think a plug in to create sitemaps is important as well, specially in this industry with a lot of content Google cant "see" (images and videos)
here is a plug in for that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/ Not my favorite way to solve the issue, but it will do the job if you are starting.

If you're going to run Wordpress, keep it as light as possible. Don't use unnecessary plug-ins. There's a new xss exploit for at least one of the listed plug-ins.
