![]() I'm running several pay sites, part of our insentive to sign up is if you pay for one, you get them all .. right now we're using .htaccess as our auth method, and it works, but I would like to make it so when a user jumps from site to site, or through the domains, they aren't asked for a username/password each time.
It would also help out since we have a sub-domain where our content is stored, and whe n a member accesses the content they are asked for a password. Now, it isn't a huge deal, but each time a member enters our site they are asked for their username/password 2 times if they enter our movie section. Does anyone know of a way that is compatable with .htaccess that I could store a cookie or something on the customer's machine, essentially giving them access for the current session so they only have to log in once; but can skip around to the different domains without having to re-log in? It is possible? Any suggestions on where to start looking for the answer? Thanks. |

Yes, it can be done and it can be done server side without having to rely on the users security settings and browser so the user will only have the log in once and will have access to everything you want them to have access to.
If you have ICQ feel free to msg me and I'll explain in more detail, if not, feel free to send me an email.

What's your ICQ #? It doesn't show up in the profile, and the admin here has the email functions turned off.
Thanks for the possibility of help.. --- ICQ: 164281437 AIM: Desolas462 |

I would like also to know how to setup the multiple domain access just by one log in. Let me have your icq number or email me address where I could find you. Thank you NewbieKid ![]()
