Hello gang,

I just started editing some preview/promo clips for my site and already.. a dilema. Maybe you guys can help. What would you consider a good preview clip:

a. a preview clip that shows segments of softcore footage such as interview and stripping and cutting it right before the hardcore is about to start without showing any XXX?

or...

b. a clip of "fast cut " transitions of XXX action without giving the viewer time to get off?

How long should it be?

Your thoughts?

Either way it's kind of a toss up.

Softcore doesn't provide enough to even make the viewer give a double take. This is assuming that softcore is not their niche of choice.

Hardcore has a broader fan base, but the problem still exists of giving away too much. The real truth is, if someone is wanting to jack their shit, your 5-10 second clip will just get some loop action. :]

Personally, I'd go with the hardcore. You'll find more ppl who like the preview and want more than you would with softcore.

I've done clips of both softcore and hardcore, and found that the hardcore clips registered almost five times as many hits as the softcore, so I'd have to agree.

Use hardcore clips. ;)

use 30-40 sec both softcore and hardcore (50/50). Use just action clips, interview and stripping are not good for demo trailer.
