Ok guys or girls.....

I have been doing websites for over 2 years now. I've also filmed some content - before I met my wife last year.

Anyway - we got married in August, and I think she has a problem with my business ventures - she thinks I like the "pornstars" more than I like her... She walked out on me tonight cause I got a phone call from Ricki Raxx to help with her site...

Anyone have similar problems?

Maybe I should just marry an industry girl??

What you have done professionally in the past shouldnt matter too much. What matter's is what your girlfriend turned fiance turned wife knew about what you were doing, if you ever invited her to get involved in someway, and any promises you may of made to her before during or after the marriage.

Honest upfront communication. I am happily married to someone for 7yrs + who is not involved in the industry, and has absolutely no desire to be associated with it, anyway, shape or form. My wife knew from the moment we became serious, ALL of my faults, weaknesses, and the fact that I am occasionally involved in the dark world of porn.

Was she thrilled to be told of all of this. No and Yes. Back then, she rather I been wearing a suit, sitting in the big fancy office, doing the 9 to 5. But she did appreciate the honesty and forewarning. Another thing ... I have always invited her to come down to some of the B2B trade shows to show her, that the biz is not as dark as some people think, and that there are alot of very cool people out there.

Trust and security. There are no secrets between us. If there is a casual meeting of bodies during one of these shows, she knows about it. She trusts that I am IN LOVE with her only, I will never put her life or health in danger, and I will ALWAYS COME HOME.

Just some thoughts ... no reason to answer them here in the forum!!!

Does your wife have a reason to not trust you?
Is she or as she always been insecure about herself?
Why would someone walk out just because of a phone call?

There is something much deeper in this HornyDawg than you have laid out.

If she plans on branding herself (and have the works: cam, blogs, merchandise, fan/paysite) and if she has not been in the biz that long, consider an entirely new name.

Alternately (and briefly)... if you can prove that she had branded herself as Ricki Raxx for some considerable time before the person in Hong Kong registered the name, and you can make the arguement that this person is intentionally misleading/misusing the name, you have a chance a filing a petition to have the domain's use cease and be transfered to her.

I never knew that you could do that?!

She has been dancing under the name for years and has done layouts for all of the large breast magazines out there. She has also filmed content for Brazzers, Reality Kings, Mr.Big Dicks & Naughty America - all under Ricki Raxxx

Also she uses the XXX at the end of her name - Raxxx which I think can be confusing to the casual surfer.

I took my girlfriend to Webmaster Access Europe (Amsterdam) and she realized the business was not as she tought! So this is something I really recommend.

I'm a girl working in adult (not content production) and I can guarantee that after a while it is your job...When I first started, I was like, "Omg, look at that" or "How shocking!" Now, it's just what I do...However, it's hard for people that aren't involved to see it that way. So, like pornguy said, she may feel less threatened if she were more involved.

After a while, photographer don't see a girl fucking a guy, but the lighting, the angle, the this, the that. On the sites, you don't see naked girls, but the messed up code, the loading time, etc.

And, if it doesn't stop soon, you are going to go NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just an update - things have been better since that night.

I bought her a webcam and we are going to get her up on ImLive for some webcam shots and in January she is getting 650 cc's for the boobies. So she is definitely INVOLVED in the business - she is just very insecure about not measuring up to these women that I HAVE to stare at all day as I build galleries, etc.

I try to tell her that she is just as sexy as these other girls, and I even try and show her how some of them have flaws - stretch marks, acne, etc.

I think it mostly comes from her own feelings of herself. Whether I was working in porn or at a bank, she seems to be the type who gets insecure and jeaulous of the women around me.....
