Getting Paid

There's a big, well regarded affiliate that owes me money and hasnt responded to emails or ICQs. I'm really new to this game so I dont want to cause a bunch of drama, but do I have to out them here or is there a better way to get their attention? I havent gotten a reply from my rep, from the support address or even the webmaster address which is what they use for 'special requests'

How do you handle these problems?

Find out their company name and address, and then hire a collection agency to pursue them.

Well, i waited until I could check ICQ again and nothing. The program is JuicyBucks and I jsut want to know when Im going to get paid and if they need more info from me. When would I get paid for the period ending Aug 14th? I have emailed/icq'ed George, the support email and the webmaster email for the last several days..

I dont think they are trying to screw me (its not like its a huge number or anything) - but I checked my spam folder, etc etc and I havent heard from them at all..

Some sponsors can take a month+ from the end of the pay period before they issue a check. However, it's odd that they would not respond to you. They may be having internal problems, or are investigating suspicious transactions, or maybe they're just trying to fuck you over. They should at least inform you that there has been a delay and they are working to resolve it, so keep at them.

if you are having trouble getting paid then you are promoting the wrong sites as far as I see it. If they dont care about you, then dont care about them and stop promoting there stuff.

Suing people and hiring collection agencies takes money. First, take note of the advice Zephyr made above -- sometimes it takes a month from the end of the pay period for checks to be cut. Check your affiliate agreement.

Assuming that you have a valid gripe, your best bet is to post the specifics here on this board. Once the dirty laundry is aired in public, I imagine you'll get a very quick reponse.

He sure will get a quick response! ;)

Leftsans, i havn't received any emails since we discussed those banners for you. Nothing at all regarding payments from you (nor have any logs on ICQ) at all so not sure what's happened there??

Either way this is obviously something we can fix easily! I've contacted you on ICQ to confirm your details and payment method!

He sure did, it took a while to get matched up on ICQ, but George kept after it and straightened it out immediately. I really like dealing with Juicy Bucks, which is why I wanted to avoid a drama thread..
