Newbies of GFY - What would you like to learn about most?

I'm doing an affiliate marketing 101 panel at Cybernet Expo and I'd like to know what newbies would find useful in something like this? What kind of questions/topics/etc would you appreciate learning more about?

I've got a few ideas but I thought I'd ask you guys directly for your input...

I'm all ears!

Teach me blogging: is it still converting? Should I still write long post (300 words)? Should I host images or link to FHG? How many images works best? Should I exchange links with site other than blogs (i.e. tgp, link site, top site)? Should I link to blog site with similar or less traffic than mine? How do I know if a site have good traffic (PR doesn't mean much, Alexia seems inaccurate outside 100k rank)? How many link on my blog page is too many?

I am not doing well with blog. And I don't see how blog attract return visitors or bookmarkers. High search rank maybe, but why do they come back? So many questions, rarely any real answers. All the tutorials are at least 2 years old. Do they still hold?

Blogging is still a good start in the adult business, I'm doing it right now and in my first month of blogging I've made 3 sales...and many people say you usually won't make your first sales until months after starting. You just have to put forth the effort like any other business and put out quality blogs. I have gained a lot of bookmarkers and return visitors at my Cuckolded Husbands blog so it is very possible. Just keep at it and you'll eventually see some return on your investment!

I wrote a tutorial on that actually; somewhat relevant to your questions although not all of them: https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=964435

Also, keep in mind this panel will probably be video taped by us, so if you do have questions, I may be able to answer them in full or partially which will then be viewable later on.

Requires manual captcha?
Will it submit to the BIG sites?
Do you have to pay for something good?
What one you would recommend :P

Here is a question on affiliate marketing that I am dealing with. Perhaps you have a point of view. How does one reconcile an affiliate marketing program with link exchanges? It seems that doing both on the same website would be a no-no, since sending your visitors to other sites would screw your affiliates. Any thoughts?

Thanks Jayvis for the tutorial link, very nice. It's good to see how it's done in details. Any tips on link build for blog site? What's the strategy for picking the sites to link?

Congrats to anexia for the fast sales. You must have a crazy clicktrough and/or signup ratio. Does a good looking design help? Or maybe a different niche. I heard gay is good, but it would be too painful for me to write about. Shemale is slightly better, but just slightly. And cuckold?! Oh man, sounds like all the good niches stay good for a reason. Am I just too normal? Or should I just toughen it up? I heard that's not good either...

I didn't trade links with anyone when I ran sites, never hurt my SE ranks, I kept everything in house and for the most part and on the same IP. So I can't really help with that. There's a huge variation in opinion on that topic, you'll hear every side and all I can say is that keeping things in house worked for me and I'm still to this day front page for some pretty big niches and seeing sales on sites I haven't updated in a year or more.

Design matters, always split test your sites. I think the technical term is a/b affiliate testing if you want to google it.

Promote the niches you know, if you don't know something about a niche and haven't researched it quite a bit you'll end up failing. You'll also get incredibly bored of messing with content and updates that you couldn't give two shits about.
