Why ICQ? Spam Machine.
It seems that ICQ is the Instant Messenger of choice among adult webmasters. Why? I am very familiar with Instant Messengers and use AIM and Yahoo daily. Being fairly new to this board, I decided to join the crowd and got ICQ about a week ago.
Now I'm being bombarded with Russian spammers trying to add me to their buddy list. Never a problem with Yahoo or AIM. Perhaps there is some privacy setting that I am missing. So, why ICQ? I remember using it way back in the late 90's and I wasn't all that fond of it back then. |

Is there any antispam features?
I'm not using original client for years, and my alternative client can block spam messages easily ![]() |
