Acacia streaming lawsuit package - GoFuckYourself.com

Just got a the package from Acacia on my desk demanding that we pay them royalties on streaming for the last several years.

There's no way I'm sending these guys a fucking dime! We're considering joining with other companies to hire IP (intellectual property not the other IP) attorneys to fight.

Just wondering who else has received Acacia's little marketing package and what (if anything) you're doing about it.

Sounds like the jpeg patent.. Someone claims to have the patent for it dated years ago and has just started enfocring it now. Unfortunatly I think someone/many people will have to make a legal stand on it and I don't think Acacia will win if the resources of the Adult industry get behind it.

Search Acacia on GFY, there is a webmaster group forming to raise money and fight these guys.

These patents are bullshit and if the courts are reasonable, these guys will lose. You need to talk to the group that's forming and put money into the fight.

These people need to get a life. They ALWAYS start with the small guy who cannot afford to pay expensive legal fees. Why not go after Microsoft, Real Media or Adobe who created the software to create such streaming media?

Acacia can go fuck themselves!
