The Story:

1995 I got in the porn business and made bank tell 1999. Had an offer to sell out and did. I went into main stream non-adult and I make good money to date. The company I sold my porn business took some big hits and confirmed my ego made a good choice. Currently I have a chance to pick back up my old porn company for pennies on the dollar.

Questions:

1. In the old days it was common to make $15k to $25 a week just selling traffic. (Front doors only) Is this still possible?

2. I have fresh original content that could make a kick ass niche gallery. Is it worth the time money to build a gallery or more lucrative to just sell traffic?

3. I have my own merchant account that accepts porn or is it safer to go with a third party company? Like many here I have been ripped back in the day and wonder if they got any better?

4. Do top-level domain names mean any thing any more?

5. I have done small test marketing on GENERAL porn terms on the SE?s. I was able to pull down 4k in uni?s a day with these tests. Any idea what that would convert? This way I will get an understanding on what is possible to make.

Finally, please excuse the obsolete slang (been out of the game for years) and thank you for the advice in advance.

1. Yes, but you need more traffic than you would have back then.

2. By make your own gallery, I assume you mean paysite. If you have the cotent and the traffic, you'd be stupid not to try to convert it yourself.

3. Depends on how much non-adult volume you've got on the merchant account.

4. In search engines they're more or less irrevent, for type in traffic you still want .com.

5. I'd guess about 1/250, but it could fall anywhere between 1/150 and 1/500.
