they said he made a script to upload porn and moderated a community. what site would that be?

Hmmm... well, that does give the story a whole different complexion now doesn't it?

Typically, if anything, you would be extradited. The United States would not put you in an American jail because you beat someone up in Brazil.

Well, if the guy is american, that is exactly what is going to happen ....

Think abiut the RUSSIAN arm dealer extradited to the USA... Aside from making a dent in the US business, what crime has he commited in the US ...

I think Iran is stupid to play that game, but the guy was even more stupid to go there considering his activities ...

Hummmmmm , I ran a camp in Afghanistan, I think I will visit Time Square for New Year ... :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Iran... and "rights" don't exactly go hand and hand. They can do what the hell they want to over there to anyone in their country. But the US is bad because we have body scanners in the airports.... :helpme:upsidedow

Mr. Malekpour was arrested during a visit home to his ailing father. He worked as a freelance website designer in Canada and admitted to running the website, which has since been taken down, in a confession played on national TV in March 2009. Three days later, his father died.

Ms. Eftekhari says Mr. Malekpour?s online profile had been used without his permission to create the website.

In a March 2010 open letter to Iranian officials, Mr. Malekpour described his treatment in prison prior to the confession: ?While I remained blindfolded and handcuffed, several individuals armed with cables, batons, and their fists struck and punched me.? There were ?constant threats to arrest and torture my wife and family if I did not co-operate, threats to kill me.?
Ok, so if I'm reading this right, he was forced to admit he ran the sites??? His wife says that someone used his profile to create the site and then he says in the letter that he was beaten and threatened to cooperate or as I'm assuming to admit his culpability. I'm confused... :upsidedow

think the story is he created software found on a few sites he'd been connected with

Are you serious? There's a guy that's in jail right now for speaking out against the US. Julian Assange. How is that any different?

Can I buy his website? Allah willing of course.

That would depend on the law and how its worded and what his obligations are under Iranian law as both Iranian an Iranian Muslim. You can be a US citizen, fly to another country, earn money and not pay taxes to the US. You don't need to be present in a nation to break its laws.

next time before jumping to conclusions please do a bit a research and use your brain

http://www.iranian.com/main/blog/jah.../berimfaza-com

This guy was running a porn site while being there.
And I am positive that he was posting against the regime on the net or doing some sort of that crap. He should have been smarter than that.
Iran wont sentence someone to death for running an adult site but for political stuff...hasta la vista bayby

_Richard_ 12-07-2010 08:12 PM

ok, so by 'research' you want me to look up responsive references to the state ordered murder of someone in order to feel justified i have done said research?

Iranian.com?

Last I saw he was being held in a foreign country for a warrant in another foreign country related to rape and sexual molestation but don't let the truth get in your way!
