My perception is that three feet of water didn't do this. The average height in Japan is 1.715 meters. What is a wall to them might not be to me.

3 feet of water did not do that. obviously, the water level increased dramatically and quickly to the levels (30' in places) that caused that sort of destruction. but as you can see by the pictures, the leading edge was no wall of water that moved ships like that.

You are viewing the term "wall" incorrectly. It isn't the height of the water that is important, but the width. And the width of that water more than qualifies as a wall of water.

so if i run a piece of ribbon across a room, that ribbon is a wall because it has width. incorrect.

Stop being a jackass. 3' to 4' can easily be justified as "wall height" (ever heard of a retaining wall in landscaping?) and obviously depending on where anyone was standing and the way the water was funneled by the land mass, buildings, etc. it could easily have been quite a bit more.

No one needs to over-sensationalize anything as the videos taken by news and laypeople clearly show devastation beyond description.

Just watching the videos of people trying to outrun the wave in their cars but then getting stuck in traffic or dirt roads or whatever and getting out and having to run for it. It's like scenes from a Hollywood blockbuster. I wonder how many made it.

you talk about abs like they're a possession like a ferrari. that's your 1st mistake. your 2nd mistake is taking the fact that my accomplishing something and sharing how i did so is bragging. i lost a lot of weight, and like many others around here who share their successes, i shared mine and ended up helping others in their efforts to lose weight and continue to do so this day.
and i have been thanked time and time again for my helping others with their health & fitness goals via the thread.
