My incoming QR code (<<<---) is on my checkout page.

They checkout, they select BitCoin, scan the QR code, and as soon as I get 3 Confirmations, they're in.

It can become recurring.

imagine revisiting threads from today in 2025 and looking back at it the same way you look back at this thread right now.

If you have a paysite with several individual downloadable items (rather than a single product such as an e-book or movie) it should be possible to compromise, allowing throttled/limited access immediately upon seeing the transaction, then permitting full access once it gets into the blockchain with sufficient confirms. That way legit customers get immediate access.

A "currency" which is hyperinflated and beyond the undesrtanding of ordinary mortal will not become generally accepted...it seems Bitcoin is going the way German mark went in late 20ties..:2 cents:

When Core finally figures out Lightning there's going to be a whole new wave of confusion and n00bery as people try to figure out how to implement it. And if it bombs (or is perpetual vapourware) it could have a serious effect on the value of BTC.

There's always the possibility of another coin taking over if the Core team dicks us around for much longer...

Bump for now just under $20k this week. Was approx 30cents when thread started.

Nothing compares to Bitcoin in terms of security, decentralization, network effect and adoption. Lightning is awesome, it works now, lacks adoption but growing every day.

You want speed, just use Paypal or CC.
