Twitter is a side dish seo tool, if you know how to use it without pissing off the panda.

I'm not even sure why Damian is in this thread (I have him on ignore), but I would say that like most things in this business...he doesn't have any actual experience doing any of this.

We're friends with lots of the "porn star" girls in the biz. I know some of them whose husbands do their tweeting. I know some of them who have paid for a hundred thousand "followers" (and were passing on the info to us to do the same...but we weren't looking for that from Twitter).

And I know some girls who are some of the most legendary names from the business who only have a few thousand followers because they do it honestly.

And when we or some of the other girls tweet something business related (such as CM about to go on Live Cam, or the latest update, or a personal appearance, etc.) we see them in the room on cams (they tell her "I'm so and so from Twitter or Facebook or Tumblr or Digg"). They identify themselves when they join the website (they can write directly to CM inside the members area and tell her how they joined and why). And just like a week ago when we went out to see Paul McCartney at the MGM here in Vegas: She tweeted it and we met a half dozen or so fans at MGM that had seen the tweet and were in town. Also when we left MGM after the show and went to the RIO she tweeted that as well. We walked into the RIO and within 15 minutes she had 3 fans buying her drinks at the I-Bar who follow her on Twitter and saw that tweet on their cell phones.

It's great marketing. Because everyone of the guys took cellphone pics with her at MGM and the RIO. And they all gushed about it. And two of them joined that night. Then they put the pics up on their facebooks, etc. and it's just good natural organic marketing.

And no, none of that works for an adult company. It has to be the actual girl herself.

Way to work that man. You really got uniques pushed up. I was only able to work it for a few hundred up to about 500 per day. But I was pushing services too, when I was really trucking.

Glad you're still able to make use of it.

You have to reply to your twitter followers and build up a relationship with them if you are going to keep them interested in what you are doing. You can't just rely on posting links and retweeting.

Again, opinion as fact!

When will you learn?

Robbie, love, you're wrong. But that's cool.

Fuck. We agree on something. There's a first! I get all the talent on my clients' sites to do it themselves. Makes such a difference. Fans can tell instantly if it isn't actually x tweeting.

How beautiful. PM and Gary seem to have left and you and I agree.

So much love in the room today.

Threads like this make my head hurt.

What do you people expect from non organic followers as far as interaction is concerned?

Muppets buying followers or doing follow for follow are just wasting their time and money. Minimal value may be achieved for seo purposes, yet again only if there are resulting retweets that are natural.

I really doubt thousands of dormant indian and philippino accounts created en masse will do any more than get you indexed.

Yes, but those are people looking for you. No one "looks" or searches for someone on Twitter unless they are looking for something. If your looking to model on line, they'll find you. If they are looking for photos of lesbians, well, good luck.

Exactly. Otherwise it's worthless.

Nobody talked about buying followers or ghost mass fake followers, NOBODY, it would ake no sense at all..

There are techniques to get a lot of followers interested in your niche and real followers, not ghost or fake ones..

If you don't know about it or you can't think outside the box, keep submitting galleries in adult.. guys like you or robbie should get up to date, you are stuck in time.. this is 2011, not 1999.

ciao.

It's very easy to find organic followers that respond. I can easily get them to respond more, just by participating more. I add about a 1000 new people per month, per account. I've never paid for followers.

I get on average about 20 clicks per tweet, I've gotten 1000's and I've gotten plenty of 0's. I've made money/sales, gotten shit tons of email opt-ins (I do about 20 a day across the board from twitter alone) and I use it to create followings on other social networks with people.... because having a person more than once, means I get to market/contact them, more than once.

That's before the SE benefits, branding benefits, new very targeted followers from other peoples lists, an increase in comments-response rates, the ability to poll people instantly, and... my fav part, I took a step and started talking to several PGA pros, I've talked business and shot the shit with many, it only took my own effort to make it happen.

Twitter is only limited to your own brass ball size...

I'm the one who first experimented with the concept. My reasoning was simply that, by adding the Amazon wish lists, the girls would be more inclined to re-tweet.

Doesn't the Amazon affiliate program forbid adult websites?

I don't know. I just pulled the links directly from each of the girl's Twitter profiles. Here's a post that kind of describes that whole issue.
