There was a time when cops were here to protect and serve, still says that on the cop cars in LA, yet they will park down the street from a bar and wait for someone to leave the bar and pull them over for any made up reason they want and check for a dui to make their quota.

This same thing happened to me coming back from Nogales a few years ago. The Border Patrol guy was all serious and said, "The dog doesn't lie, if he says you have drugs, you have drugs."

I was like, "Do you speak dog? All I hear is barking."

They sat us there for 20 minutes poking around the car and trying to get us to admit that we were smoking weed in the car.

That guy must have had a lot more time on his hands to want to put himself in that position. There was no way he wanted to go to work. He wanted to have debate with border patrol people and be held up and that's what he got.

That's not a worthwhile debate for me.

They are so bad down here in New Orleans too. I am someone who has never even had a speeding ticket in my life. Yet within 6 months living here I had my Constitutional Rights violated twice by two different cops. I've since educated myself with the local watchdog groups, and I fucking welcome it next time. But damn is it scary, I'm just a small chick too. I was never afraid of cops in California. But here, fuuuuuck watch out. I have so many stories. :Oh crap

LAPD I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw one, but they have so many people looking at their every move, they have to be very careful

I was surrounded by five police men. They frisked/searched me. I asked why. They said why do I ask. I said I do not like to get touched. Then they said I looked suspect. That is the only reason. Welcome to real Germany.
