Porn consumers love to know we're real. Go to a show for offline porn on the days they open to the general public for proof. Look at FB, Twitter and Youtube for further proof. Social networks already exist and putting one up purely for porn, industry and consumers, will increase the interest. Making the people who produce the porn real might reduce the piracy. Can't do anything to increase it.

Don't change GFY, it's already a sort of social site.

I've been thinking more about this and the situation we're in today.

Anyone who wants free porn can get it anywhere, in fact finding free porn is easier than finding paid porn.

Piracy and Tubes exist, they're not going anywhere.

I expect to most surfers porn is just a quick 20 minute jerk off and with no apparent worth above that.

Porn is stuck in a rut of doing the same thing it's been doing for the last decade or longer.

The "personality" in online porn is low to 0. Yet porn consumers love to meet, see and communicate with models. Try to get listed a friend with Sylvia Saint, Jana Cova or many others on FB. Look at their following on Twitter. Porn consumers who want more than a quick 20 minute jerk off might be more interested in than some think.

Fact is you've all been saying porn members fall in love with porn models for years, well this is the best way to get them to fall in love some more.

for the OP it's a win win situation, getting surfers to like the girl with some real communication is a great way to promote Webcam girls. Same goes for solo girl site and even multi girl sites.

Downsides are obvious, for affiliates it might be a problem. The surfers on a Social Porn Board don't want to talk to them, they want to chat to shooters and models. It might prove more interesting than throwing up free porn everywhere and take traffic that wants more from them.

I also see added value for social features offered as add-on for GFY. Maybe the current social feature within GFY are not used because they are too hidden.

A social GFY including current forum board will offer much more for all community members.

At this moment for the last 2 days I'm busy with fckbk.com which is a social script and if the GFY forum has an API your can interface/integrate both.

If not its always possible make a custom API and skin, so the look/feel will be in GFY brand.

Because its more convenient this way - its easier to communicate on forum format than on shitbook or any other social site.

You only have to look at some nicks replies to see why they don't like it. For them to write something of interest would be impossible.

The sad thing about this part of the porn industry is the lack of innovation, adaptation and real enterprise.

Quite clearly things are not going well, after years of denying the obvious the obvious is clear. We feed 1,000s of people with free porn for 1 to buy. The free porn method of selling and product isn't good enough. Yes many fool themselves that they have 1,000s looking at free porn so must be top dogs if they sell to 1. Truth is they're fools taking the easiest way of selling ever known.

Online marketing is a joke. Yes I'm far too old and stupid to understand how giving it to 1,000s for free for 1 to buy is a great way of selling. To me the idea of satisfying 1,000s so 1 buys mean losing 1,000s of customers. But as I said I'm old and to stupid to see how great a system it is.

So to the thread, the OP comes up with an idea that might work. It's never been done before as a stand alone project. A purely Adult Social Network for industry workers, not trolls pushing traffic, to people interested in talking to them.
