Not so good for affiliates trying to make sales :(

Free traffic? I don't think so.. With half our bridges down or barely standing up nowadays, you should see what rush hours looks like! :1orglaugh

I'm thinking that in the case of some companies like Gamma...they have been devastated over the last few years from piracy AND now "free".

I mean they were making millions over the last 10 years with Porn Access. But what is Porn Access? It's basically all the porn dvds from most every major studio in a big paysite.

Now...all of that content is already out there for FREE everywhere.

So they found themselves in a situation of watching their money drop. So...without any skin in the game (just licensed content)...they had to look at a situation of diminishing returns.

How to make money from all this DVD porn?

Well...everybody else is monetizing the traffic from that same content via the "Free" route of selling pre-paid ad spots (traffic) and whitelabel cams, etc.

So the time has come that they will now lose less money by going this route with their investment of licensed content.

Will it hurt Porn Access and other Gamma paysites? Probably not one bit more than they are already hurt. And why should they sit back and watch other people making the money off of tubes with that content and not get a slice of it for themselves?

Of course in the big picture/long run...it's all a race to the bottom in my opinion. But at this point they have nothing to lose and something to gain by doing it.

I suppose this will all sort out in a couple of years when we have a dozen or so companies sitting on their giant traffic tube sites and all selling cams, dating, and penis pills with the occasional paysite sale.

I honestly don't know if that's going to be long term viable. But one things for sure...it's better for Gamma to make money now than it is to lose money. And that's the bottom line. They are looking to make money now with this. Nobody can fault them for that.

Besides Gamma (pornaccess) they got Fame and Livebucks and some gay program. I think they still do ok on those.

Yeah Buddy Profits may do okay. And they have more than just that too...their Tranny program and several other ones.

But all of them are still dependent on licensed DVD porn that is found everywhere for free now.
Which sucks, because the whole business model of those sites is to have thousands of scenes from damn near every DVD from every porn studio for one low price and one pass to get it all.

It was one of the best deals you could get.

Until somebody decided to give it all away for free. :(

So I think the only smart thing they can do is to make some of that tube money for themselves while they still have the financial means to buy an ongoing high traffic tube site and build it.

It's a smart move for them in their particular situation.

Bad for us affiliates...but not really. Why do I say "not really?" Well, we have already been smashed down. So this isn't going to really make much of a dent at this point. The big crash already happened.

Hopefully Gamma will be able to survive and thrive as an ongoing business. :)
They've always been good people and we've made a lot of money together over the last 10+ years.

I got some trade requests for pornerbros on linkspun a while back, I wonder if the old owner will keep the linktrades after the sell. If not, that must be bad for SEO..

First: let me introduce myself, since this is my first post. I'm Mark, and I manage all the content published on PornerBros. I'm not here to discuss the decisions that were taken by the company, I think the press release does that by itself. Thanks to all for your opinion and and I'll keep them into consideration :)
As for the trolls, well, give your best shot.

To all of you that want to deal with us: Add me on ICQ# 631877938 and it will be a pleasure to create you a partner account. We are mostly looking for 5min+ vids. You'll have an underplayer spot for each vid submitted, and linking codes will be assigned automatically.

To all of you that dealt with the site before the acquisition: I still have access to the affiliates accounts that the old guys created. so nothing changed, we can still do business together and not loose anything :)

Boneprone: Wanna do more? contact me and I'll set you up :)

Good luck with the tube man, we did some seo work on it these past months with some very good results.
