You'd order your labwork at one of these places and you get emailed a requisition form. Then you just print it out and walk into any labcorp to get your blood drawn. Your results will be emailed / posted online in a few days.

Labcorp is likely the same lab your doctor uses when they give you a lab order. I think it's the largest lab in the US with multiple offices in every city.

The only difference is the price. The same labs ordered by your doctor would cost significantly more than if you ordered them by yourself.

I so totally appreciate this! In one of those weird twist of the universe things, I had a scheduled doctor's appt after I first posted in this thread. He ordered a TSH lab, and it came back outside the range. So they are going to do other other tests on it...not sure if it is the T3 or T4 that you spoke of.

I don't know what the hell to do, now. A day or two after I found her in the basement laying there sick and hardly moving, showing mild signs of mania, she wanted to come and see me.

She did. She's back. She is terribly sorry and went and bought me a new wardrobe of clothes on a Kohls card they sent to her. She's acting like HERSELF. She had been to the hospital again, the ER doc did labs and they think she may be on her way to being hypo rather than hyper.

I don't know WHAT the hell to think or do now... we're both looking for jobs. Still broke. She's been staying at my place, we both had a little money and put it together to buy food and gasoline. My car is busted now so she's been driving me places.

From everything I have read, the thyroid being whacked out causes all kinds of behavioral issues.. And I have done a-lot of reading, believe me.

I understand that it's a Harvard study you're citing, here, but they also did one which found that hardened thugs on the street will respond to love and kindness.
