Last time I checked slavery was abolished many years ago.

Therefore freedom and liberty now applies to all people, as it should have in the first place.

The founding fathers had the right idea when it came to forming a free republic. They laid down the groundwork for a free society. It just wasn't until later that everyone was able to enjoy freedom and liberty.

The point here is that we need to do anything possible to make sure it remains this way and that our rights and liberties are not taken away. This is what people like Ron Paul are all about, the right to live your life how you want without government interfering.

The video I posted had to do with Ron Paul explaining our flawed foreign policy and how Noam Chomsky agreed with him.

The reason 9/11 happened is because of our foreign policy. They don't hate us because "we're free," they hate us because we have been occupying their lands with our military for a long time. This is a fact as explained by heads of the CIA, Al-Qaeda themselves, etc...

So what? It's a sign that people are starting to get it, even through all of the media manipulation. They are starting to realize that most of the candidates are typical wall-street owned elitist globalist pricks. Ron Paul is obviously the opposite of that.

So you suspect the Republicans are going to say, "Fuck it, we can't win anyway, let's see if the independents can do it for us," and go with Paul?

Most "republicans" are fucking idiots, just like most "democrats" are. They buy into the whole 2-party illusion, along with everything else that is wrong with our country.

That being said, it is highly unlikely that Ron Paul will get the Republican nomination when it's all said and done.

What matters, however, is that more and more people are waking up to the MESSAGE. Forget Ron Paul, THE MAN, it's about the message and the truth. The guy is 76 years old and about to die soon anyways, but the philosophical revolution that he has started will live on long after his death so that better, younger candidates can run for office with freedom and liberty in mind.

I just hope he can stay in the debates and the national spotlight for as long as possible, even if that means running as a third party candidate.

I have to admit, I am torn. I wanted to stop when you said, "They buy into the whole 2-party illusion, along with everything else that is wrong with our country" because that is exactly what your boy Paul is doing.

But as I was scrolling down to reply I saw, " Forget Ron Paul, THE MAN, it's about the message and the truth. The guy is 76 years old and about to die soon anyways."

Since he [Paul] is not important to your philological revolution, I presume you have a vice-President in mind that will carry on the ideals and still beat Obama. Who?

One other thing, how young of candidates are you hoping for? What is stopping them today?

Not sure what you mean by vice-president, but as far as the rest of the GOP candidates I wouldn't trust a single one of them.

You could have had Bush or Kerry. No real difference from a bigger picture point of view. You could have had McCain or Obama, no difference there. This time you will be able to have Romney or Obama. Again, no difference. In my opinion we are screwed as long as the Americans keep voting for these elitist wall-street owned international banking cartel-owned douchebags.

A good candidate doesn't necessarily have to be young, but I get the feeling that most Americans seem to have a problem with an "old" president. Americans are very superficial, they care about things like age and looks.

And for what it's worth, I have seen certain polls where people say that they think Ron Paul has the best chance at defeating Obama head-to-head... but we know he has very little chance of ever being in that position to begin with, so it's kind of a moot point.

nextri 12-20-2011 02:29 AM

The fact that Ron Paul is getting so much support these days, will only make sure Obama wins another term.
Ron Paul won't win the republican nomination, but will run as an independent. This will split the republican voters into two groups, giving obama another 4 years.

StickyGreen 12-20-2011 02:35 AM

glamourmodels 12-20-2011 02:38 AM

Which is precisely why Republicans better give Paul the nomination because Ron Paul supporters simply wont vote for anyone else so unless he is the GOP nominee you are assured 4 more years of Obama. And in head to head polls Ron Paul does well against him so he definitely can win the Presidency if Republicans nominate him.

That's a good point, except Donald Trump has pledged to run as an independent if the GOP doesn't nominate the right person, and Trump has admitted that he doesn't think Ron Paul is the right person. So it sounds like no matter what we might have a third party candidate this election who will end up giving the victory to Obama. 4 more years of the same road to tyranny that our country has been on for years, nothing is going to change, barring some sort of miracle of course. lol

Trump would still have to get on the ballot, that kind of stuff takes prior preparation, you cant just do it at the last minute. The only 3rd party that is on all 50 state ballots is the Libertarian Party who want Ron Paul so Trumps threats are just more hot air from a windbag looking for free publicity for his dumb TV show, nothing more. Not sure about the Green party, they might be on a bunch of ballots but they would not have him either. Sure he could pay people to go get the signatures but I would not worry about him. It's just a diversion.

Another good point.

Hopefully Trump would have no chance to get on the ballot.

I dont think he is a registered Republican but Jesse Ventura has expressed interest in running with Dr. Paul, whether Republican or not he certainly fits the bill ideologically and brings a degree of star power to the ticket.
