while xp was designed for 'older' types of computers, win7 is an os that utilizes a lot of the technology developed and introduced with vista article mentioned new 'driver architecture' as well as more focus on enforcement of permissions for both users and applications, which would reflect with win7, that allows more stability and better security. |
XP and strip it down to performance mode. 2 gig is the sweet spot, no more, no less and you will get the most out of it.

XP will be much faster.

XP, but what the hell is wrong with you? get some more RAM.
Both XP or Win 7 won't run well on 2GB. Even if you use 4, windows can't see all of it. Spend a few bucks on more RAM(it's cheap), get 64 bit win7. It's 2012. |
What do guys recommend for Acer one 250d netbook with 2 gig of ram? Something really lite and quick. I'm running xp on it.
