Regardless of Vendzilla's views on politics I would imagine he is a very honorable person and that in itself is a very valuable asset to have on any team. I am referring to the type of person to does not talk shit and gossip about the people he is working for and always looks out for the best of the company. That would be my assumption of the type of person he is based on his posts and life history. If I trust a person that is what greases the wheel so I end up doing business with a company. If an employer ever asked me to knock off personal comments on boards, that's perfectly fine and easily done.

I think a person is more likely to be hired for good board etiquette than fired for bad under normal cicumstances.
