So, ive read the books, I know exactly whats going on. My fear of how they would do season 2 is happening. As each book happens a lot more people start getitng introduced. They are now at the point where there are so many people where they have to leave people out in an hour and are forced to pick and choose what they want to show with each person.

My wife at this point is really confused as to what the hell is happening, I have to pause the show to explain what is going on. Kind of sucks but I guess I dont blame her. There is SO much more to the story they are leaving out.

I've not read the books and have to admit I'm getting a little lost atm following everything that's going on. There are a few new characters and that's fine but well it's a little more tedious to watch then season 1, but I still love it.

Having read the books myself and after watching all episodes up to including the third of S2 I'll have to say this -- Reading the books is pretty much a must. I can tell already that if I hadn't I'd be heading for lostville right about now.

Getting the books, so worth it.

I haven't read the books and so far I seem to be doing okay following it, but I do admit that there are a ton of characters and it is getting crowded.

I saw a video from the Game of Thrones panel at Comic Con and they said that this season would cover the second book, but that the next three books all kind of take place at the same time so instead of having one season cover one book they are going to mash them all together and do all three books at the same time so the timeline stays correct.

It sounds like it could get confusing.

One thing I did that helped me a lot was that I DVR'd the whole season then I went back and watched the full first season again a couple of weeks before season 2 started. I can't believe how much detail and stuff I missed on the first viewing.

Don't bet on this one. I've read the books too and without completely blowing it for you, you won't believe how badly and quickly things change in this series. And there's still two more 1000 page novels to be written. It's supposed to be a 7 novel series with each book being a season.

Next season is almost as good as the first if they stick to the book. Unfortunately 4 and 5 start slowing down so I hope he picks it up again.

I read the other day that they are splitting TV seasons so there will be 2 for each book after this one or the one after.

I'm starting to see large discrepancies between the books and the TV show, which is kind of disappointing but understandable.

Why no 1 exposed breast dress for Dany in Qarth?
