Fat is not the enemy, too many calories are.

EFA essential fatty acids like fish oil and extra virgin olive oil are needed for good health.

All those little things u do matter!

I'm doing the same thing with a free app called "MyFitnessPal". Seems like almost every possible food is in their database, which makes counting calories super-easy. You can even 'scan' the product's bar code and it will automatically import the nutritional content.

I've been doing it for about 2 weeks and am down 5 pounds. I try to do some form of exercise every day to reward myself with a beer or two. It's quite simple actually and it's amazing to realize how much shit you shovel into your mouth once you start counting calories. For me it seems like the best way to change your lifestyle for the long-run, rather than doing some silly 1 month diet which is doomed to fail once you finish.

I've noticed too that since my shoulders and back have gotten stronger my posture is much better and as expected that my back doesn't hurt as much anymore. At the current rate I was going, I would have been a huge hunch back by age 50.

Yeap! People think they have a weak lower back or their knees hurt that they shouldnt workout, meanwhile its usually the complete opposite. The stronger your muscles are the more they will support you where you need it most.
