Just one suggestion about your amazing navigation bar. Gallery and Photos is redundant. I know you don't have a staff of however many to point these things out to you now so I wanted to do you the favor. |

I was the other guy with long hair on the video crew - my big line was actually just a word... Orbison says "I want you to start on a close up and widen out to a master shot" I reply... "Genius". Trey was certainly making fun of me there though. Oh yeah... interesting footnote to that scene... Tim Armstrong from the band Rancid was in the background talking to Evan Wright who was editor at Hustler before he became a famous writer for Rolling Stone. The girl in the shot picked up the Van Halen looking dude (who was not in porn at all previously) and we all went and shot a video, tim and evan helping me as "techs". Funny day, worth adding to the list actually. |

crazy how the western world thinks Celebrities are Semi-Gods... they are just mortal humans with luck. Nothing else. And their luck is that millions of brainwashed humans follow them like idiots. PIRIOD. |

Still, you should take a couple whacks for including that after giving others crap about stuff that meant something to them for no better reason than it meant nothing to you... which is just sort of selfish and condescending when you get right down to it, at least, imho. On the other hand, I completely agree about China... I could make a whole other list based on my trip there. (Even though I was there when everyone still only wore grey, green, or blue Mao uniforms for the most part). |

This was a tough one for me. There are a ton of things, and it's not easy to sort through them, (I got it down to 12, but there are many more). I'm 49 years old and I've been lucky to have a very varied life, and lots of adventures, (not always fun by any means), but adventures nonetheless.
The first two are the first two.... The rest are more interchangable. 1. Birth of my Son, Akiva 2. Marrying my wife, Vino 3. Being one of 4 opening acts for Black Sabbath at the Colston Hall in Bristol in front of 4,000 people, January 1980. 4. Hitchiking and playing guitar all over Europe and North Africa for a year. (lots of adventures) 5. Putting up a brand new rock climbing route in Chedder Gorge. (and almost peeling off of it!) 6. Sailing a 36 foot sloop through a hurricaine off of the coast of Florida 7. The feeling of my first nice new car, (convertable BMW), and driving it around all night after getting it from the dealer. 8. The first time I got my knee down racing my motorcycle. 9. Walking barefoot and shirtless for a few miles through the Amazon rain forest as a kid. 10. Driving through LA, and suddenly hearing a small band that I recorded and produced being played on the radio. 11. Watching guys in my unit reunited with their families when we came home from the first gulf war. 12. Walking naked along the cliffs on blacks beach at night with a beautiful girl, big moon out, no lights or signs of civilization at all. Feeling like the first, or the last two people on earth. .:2 cents: |
1. Birth of daughter #1
2. Birth of daughter #2 3. Interviewing Jerry Garcia for a Banjo Magazine 4. Getting my first short story published 5. Getting my first article published 6. Getting my position with 2much.net 7. Realizing I don't have ten things to post... 8. Getting our company on a reality type TV Series 9. Getting our company on ANOTHER reality type series (coming soon) 10.Seeing my daughters excel at badmington, gymnastics, biligualism, and so much more.... :D |

I'm surprised that sex and women doesn't seem to play a special part in most guy's live here(apart from few marriages). Does that mean it's never been really That good experience, or it's just too common occurance for most, like eating food?

Hmmmm. Not in order.
1. Time when I realized, that I can do absolutely anything in my life. I realized that I can achieve anything just by moving forward it. When everybody else have only dreams and will never achieve anything in life, I know that hard work can give me anything I want to have. I started learning new things, started working hard and everything is making better. 2. The best gift in my life - Commodore C64. My first 8 bit computer that uncle bought me when I was 9. Soon I found BASIC programming language book and I became programming... til today. 3. Time when computers became my passion. I remember primary school, junior high, when all kids was playing football and I was all the time in home learning new things about programming and IT. My mates were able only to run Quake on their PC, when I was coding assembler on Debian. That was one of my best memories in life, thanks to which today I am who I am. 4. Leaving the school. In the last year of the school I had great grades, especially from mathematics, physics, chemistry and Polish. I never had to cheat at exams, I was just learning very easy and with passion. The rest of dumbasses was doing nothing, just drinking beer, so they achieved nothing. I wanted to learning more and more... but things, that I may need in life. Studying the history, biology, even chemistry which I liked was for me a waste of time. I quit and started learning only software engineering stuff. People said I'm stupid and was laughing, but they stopped when I was able to pay my own life by freelancing while they was still going to school, having pocket money from parents. 5. Starting first business with my brother, who inspired me in making more and more money. He was 19 and driving shiny BMW bought for his own money. His ability to see business in almost everything motivated me greatly. 6. Finding passion in what I am doing. Programming. I can read and read and read books about it without end. When I learned object-oriented programming and design patterns, programming become a philosophy for me. It's like a new state of mind, lol. 7. Like many others mentioned - the first bankruptcy. I was in huge depression and even wanted to join army to have money for my family, but one day when I was going home I thought "What the fuck, what army. I can do anything, I will make things better". And soon the things became better :) Always when I am loosing motivation I am just thinking about that day and my power back. There is a lot more key moments in my life. I am a person that is analyzing lot of things in own life. Sometimes even single stupid situation may give me a reflection that changes my live. Every mistake I made is a key moment in my life, because I learned new things from them. My whole life is the key. |

I mean do you REALLY just sit at home on your computer and type something to make you look like an idiot. Is that what your life has come down to... REALLY. Like a 1st grader who throws a piece of paper thinking it makes him look cool. What a sad state of life some of you people are in. |
It's fun eavesdropping on these threads looking for interesting things people have done.
Can't compile a large list at the moment. Some lists are conceited, others are noteworthy. I've got some good ones but mine falls short relative to many on here. Maybe that's why I can't find time to compile a list. :upsidedow |
1. meeting the girl I had seen in my mind since I was a child as an adult and spending one night with her.

Too many moments/events to select out only 10 from my entire life. I've actually met a number of celebrities, politicians, and various other leaders, however the people that have impressed me most personally are people that work for social change to help improve life for all on this small blue planet, and do so humbly. Top 10 Event-sy things of my life so far (I like the "so far" part)... :) ? growing up in hawaii (and being raised by two very different, but individually wonderful parents) ? learning to play guitar (music has always been my first passion) ? becoming an atheist / growing comfortable as a humanist (I love this wonderful journey that is life) ? meeting my wife (we're still best friends after 30+ years) ? traveling (visiting most of Asia, including seeing sunrise from the top of mt fuji three times is way up there among my life experiences - each time was special) ? being elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the student govt in college (understanding that my ideas could motivate others; becoming a political activist and getting arrested for non-violent civil disobedience were very empowering too) ? launching my first business in 1984 (still going strong after all of these years) ? my retirement from corporate work (1999 - I was the National Sales Manager for a Fortune 100 Computer Manufacturer; it was an awards dinner at a VAR Business conference at the Del Coronado Hotel in San Diego; only after someone mentioned it, did I notice that the other 20 or so people at my table were all either National or Regional Sales Managers for various corporations, all of whom I had trained over the years) ? launching my first porn site in 2000 (I literally fell into this business - a model had an idea, I had a film camera, a scanner, and a tutorial for Adobe Go Live, and my first exclusive content adult website was running two weeks later) ? being there for my Dad when he passed away (the man who taught me so much about life, also taught me a lot about the end of life - he felt he was a lucky man for having been able to live his life his own way for most of his life, and in the end he could go out on his own terms after a life lived fully - I hope to be able to do the same, many, many years from now) Love and Peace, ADG |
