In general just ignore anyone with a referral link or large sig. If they had any clue how to make money they wouldn't be reflink spamming here, and if the sites they refer were any good, they wouldn't be telling other people about them.

Just sell the names.

I agree to most of that esp the ones that just put a link and nothing else but 9 out of 10 good programs I use I found from others on here. I try to get more info then a simple "they rock" post but you know. I don't think I have ever clicked on one in a sig though

Yes 99% of "advisors" in GFY are simply spamming their affiliate link to random programs. The other 1% it is the program owners themselves (as it is my case lol). So there's quite a conflict of interest there, unlikely you get useful information from GFY posts.

Further: if someone finds a rather unknown program that converts, he does not want others to promote it, diluting his discover, so he will hide it carefully, and advise to promote other stuff he don't care at.

Except that... GFY it is still useful... you can make a list of all the cam programs, as complete as you can... then look and try these programs yourself. When done, be sure not to share any results in GFY, or it would be of use for someone.

Streamate does not require GFY or webmaster forums, for having new guys find them and try them, no matter if anything about them it is written in GFY or other forums. Those big programs such as streamate and livejasmin are finding affiliates directly because linked or popunder-ed in every tube, so visible by every surfer in the world including new ones who wish to enter into cam affiliation. Note that most of those links are not affiliates, they are prepaid monthly spots - paid by the cam companies, since big tubes sell that way, they are not affiliates and not want to risk anything. We as cam program also rely mostly on prepaid spots, while affiliates are a small % of total traffic.

Only 0.01% of the new wanna-be affiliates will ever search or find a forum like GFY and especially search into it to make an opinion what a cam or other program to promote. One example: every single livejasmin (AWE) talk here it is very negative about early cookie expiration or other (true but also false) bad reviews, and I do not see much talk or affilaite links in signatures about streamate, still most people use these 2.

One further proof how GFY it is visited more by programs and surfers and less from affiliates, it is that from my GFY signature I am getting more paid customers than affiliates being signed up; if you check the threads with most viewers, these are the ones with sexy topic and some naked pics posted, obviously this is google search from surfers and not affiliates.
